Do you get a pop up message on your phone when you plug it in to USB? You should get a message and you need to choose the Kies option. Does your phone charge from a computer USB socket at all, try a different socket perhaps.

Got my update through kies Last week for galaxy Europa on O2 in UK makes my phone much faster and improvements across the board such as saving apps on sd card!

ALL, I just realized that code "I5500CWATPH" does not exist on any of the XDA forums or anywhere on the internet. What kind of phone do I have?

Can it even be upgraded?

I cannot get KIES to update to even 2.2 - do I need to flash back to standard UK and then update to 2.2 or even 2.3 Gingerbread.

Hi,
I also wondering same thing... In Kies, it says "Kies couldn't handle update for this phone" (my own translation from french). Does it something wrong with my phone? Kies? my network (Virgin Canada)?
Last time I wrote them (in august 2011 ) they say they still don't have an update to 2.2: "Sorry about that. We actually were waiting to hear from Samsung on this and finally heard back. It doesn't look like they're going to be creating this update at this time. If we hear anything else, we'll post to our Facebook and Twitter,"

Does someone from Canada had a successfull update (via Kies or any other mean)?
