Root Future Anthrax

I'm getting this but I don't c where I down load the kernal

Have any of you running this kernel done the various deletions etc mentioned in the thread? I am just running the flashed kernel right now but didn't know if those were really necessary.

I'm on 2.6, haven't had any issues except the vdm crashing but I think that only involves updating profile and prl, I believe 4g is still broke but I don't use it considering I'm always on WiFi lol

I deleted the msdecision and thermald thing but dunno what it did, nothings broke lol as for the init.d stuff I haven't touched that

running Virus's Venom 3d..Sense 4..Anthrax 2.6 kernel..its the only sense 4 Rom i have been able to flash with the new kernels that doesnt have something acting weird..for the most part it seems the new kernels gets along better with sense 3.6 Roms..
 
Okay so, just a heads up, the beta of MidnightRom has 2.6 preinstalled and fully operational. (It seems that chad has "released it to the public" as his post title doesn't say private release anymore)

i would just be very careful bro..if Chad gave you permission then coolio..but i was just reading that there were several members banned last night for sharing content from the site..that's why they are very strict on who they let become members and such..i guess because of all the xda drama..if i had to guess i would say that all his kernels are very much private and for his sites users..just thought i would warn you just in case you didn't know :)
 
also guys..i should have caught this earlier by reading a little more..

for everyone who had issues with keeping the second core online..Chads kernel is designed to only enable the second core when their is a high demand..so when there is not a high demand or the phone goes into idle mode the second core is disabled..

this is probably why most people did not have success when flashing our dual-core-fix.zip mod..
 
I'm trying out 2.7 with MidnightRom at the moment. The 3D camera works. Unfortunately, I can't test 4G because I don't have service right now. :(

Gonna flash the updated midnightrom shortly and then flash 2.7, should I just take the kernel file out of midnight and replace it with the new one cuz I'm s-off or should I just flash the Rom and then the kernel zip before rebooting from recovery?

I followed this method from Chad Goodman, the one who made the kernel:

The prefered method is:
wipe the device
flash the rom
flash the kernel
reboot the phone, and let the rom create its cache (about 5-10 minutes)
rename mpdecision (system/bin)
rename thermald (system/bin)
back up and remove any init.d and init post boot scripts
reboot again and play

EDIT: By the way, I had the beta version of MidnightRom at the time. I haven't tried flashing it over the original version yet.

Thanks man, I actually flashed the beta version and then 2.7 and deleted that stuff and everything's running smoothly, btw I hit the 4g toggle and it rebooted my phone but 4g was on afterwards but my speeds were like 2 mbps up and down, only had 1 bar but usually still get like 8 mbps, highest I ever got with full bars was 13.somethin :D

Hey Johnny were you able to install the 7/18 nightly of venom3d? Whenever I try it always bootloops. I got 7/14 working though and its pretty amazing.
