Ignore benchmarks and relative CPU speeds etc, the Nexus in general use is noticeably smoother and more responsive than the Note (sure in some stuff like gaming and other use-case specific scenarios the Note wins out, but for most general use will be what informs their impressions of how responsive the device is...

Do you think the "smoothness/responsiveness" is because of ICS?
Do you expect the Note to be just as, if not more smooth/responsive" than the Nexus when it gets ICS?

Yep, I think it is ICS. If you look at hardware accelerated launchers like SPB Shell on the Note they are much smoother.

I would buy the Note in a heartbeat. But im positive it won't land on Verizon. Im going with the Droid 4 or Nexus. Whichever launches first.
