Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

The rain forests love you, Steven! That's quite an achievement!

I love CamScanner, free in Play. I can take a pic of a document, scan it in as a PDF, then I can e-mail it, save it, etc.

Chief,

Do you use this for things like scanning receipts or bills, etc...

I see those commercials for NeatDesk scanners, but man they are expensive.

Just wondering how you use it.

For example, Dad:

As a volunteer for the DAV, I report my volunteer hours each month. I complete my form, lay it on the table, scan it into the phone, and e-mail it straight from the phone. Saves me a long-distance fax each month :D

Let's say you have a document to send to multiple people: no need to mail or fax it over and over: scan it in, and e-mail it to multiple recipients.

CamScanner is also amazing in HOW it scans: you don't even have to be straight over the document... it will straighten the image out and align it magically! It's just COOL.

Sometimes I use it for receipts or something, but that's rare. Yeah, Chief still slaughters trees :p

Hi Halon,
I updated the N7 to 4.2.2 as well and thought I had kept root. However, 2 days later, Titranium failed and that is when I realized I lost root. I think I lost it after I accepted the update and not until I rebooted it two days later...weird. Anyway, had to re-root, but Wugs updated to work on 4.2 last week so all was well.
Hope yours holds!

<--- Loves Google Play Music :D

But: If you have Apollo Music Player installed, freeze it in Titanium Backup... I have found it will interfere with Play by taking control of playback.

Also clear Play Music data every so often BEFORE making a nandroid: it will build up quite a data pile (in the GBs) and nandroids will be large and slow.

Evening all! Anyone ever heard of the Seneca Guns? Boy howdy did we have a loud one be this afternoon, shook the house more than ever. They are not uncommon here. Amazing that in 2013, there is not one accepted explanation, just lots of speculation as to the cause.

Just a quick question for the WH... Maybe someone here has a suggestion for me? Trying to figure out the best computer set up for the HTP that we are trying to run for streaming video and PC games with our Samsung tv... And now I am having problems playing Skyrim. Apparently because my graphics APU is not good enough? Well according to the manufacturers site it should be fine... But my computer is overheating... This is the thread I started...

APU or Discrete Video Card

TIA

Thanks Chief... I wish the PC had the ability, and will be looking for a new laptop soon so who knows.
Anyways, finally just ordered a new video card. Seemed the right thing to do in this case. So I have a water cooler for the CPU coming this week and a new video card! New toys, woo hoo!
This is the video card, although I found 2 discount codes to use, so I got it for less than $80!

I enabled notifications via separate Tasker profiles and the one Task that sends a variable title (based on app) and message (based on notification) for only the apps I want to be notified of. Here are some good recipes for the Pebble Notifier and Tasker.

Let me know if you need any help Ron.

Thanks Stigy. I'll check it out.

Really.....no one took this???!!!! :p
Again, I don't know how a decent boy like myself got such a horrible reputation. It did dawn on me what I posted the second after I hit "submit." :D

I have both the CamScanner app and NeatDesk scanner, love them both and they work well together. Obviously I use CamScanner on the road, but the Neat software is outstanding for keeping track of receipts and paperwork.

Is everyone (or most) still using JBSourcery in here?

How is 5.0 treating you? Is it still going strong or do you see some lag starting to form here and there with daily use? I am still on 4.5 waiting to hear results before I jump to 5.0 or leave for another ROM.

Sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes for the screen to come on even having tried different kernels. Just frustrated - makes me want to go back to stock to ensure my phone works, but I absolutely love the customization and truly could never go back.
