Too bad it still doesn't shrink the photo to fit on one page only. :confused:

Same here. Was on a Storm before switching to a DX. The DX did not support Exchange so Moto bought Touchdown licenses for everyone that complained. I have used Touchdown for over a year now, and the settings are definitely twitchy. I found the best thing to do was to contact my Exchange provider (I use Sherweb) and their tech support was much better at tweaking the settings for Touchdown. VZW and Moto were of no use. I assume Sammy won't assist. Are you on Exchange 2010 or 2007? The settings are quite different.
 
With all the talk of the signal reporting meter, why hasn't anyone brought up how poor the battery reporting meter is on phones these days? :p Right now my battery icon in the notifications bar easily looks 75-80% full, yet I check the Battery settings screen and it's at 64%. Grr.

I am debating trying to change touchdown to Activesync only, to see if it hooks up that way.

I'm just happy it's running, and I was slow enough to get it set up, but it took 4-5 days and 2 phones and hours on the phone, and browsing web sites to get it running.

Now I can work on the little issues like battery, walllpaper, etc.

FWIW, that map wallpaper that "live updates" looks cool, but it may have gobbled battery. I shut off all that stuff, and figured I'd pick through and add an item a day, to test it.

got darn near 30 hours of battery use and down to 17%, so that's huge improvement over the 2 1/2 hours I got on Wednesday out roaming the mountains.

If someone could help me that would be great...

I got my new phone and I decided I am going to keep it. Now, I have a backup through clockwork saved with Rom Manager on my old phone...I just save it to my computer and when I am done unlocking and rooting my new phone, do you think it will be a problem restoring that backup to the new phone? It should work, right?
 
For those using Nova Launcher, you might want to grab the update (Beta 5.) I was having a ton of FC's with Beta 4. Hopefully vs. 5 helps with that.

Just in case someone doesn't know, to update NL, press the drawer app, then 'menu', then 'nova settings', and then the option to check for updates. This works regardless of which version of NL you're using (the APK version or the 'system' version.)

When you say old phone are you referring to a Galaxy Nexus that was returned for some reason and they gave you a replacement..if your old phone was any other phone restoring a nandroid backup to a different device WILL soft brick your phone at minimum...if it was a GNex you should be OK but of course ALWAYS make a backup just in case!

That may be the source of your issues. I thought all hosts were on Exchange 2010 by now, a few stragglers with 2007. Even Mailstreet is advertising 2010.

Have you thought of upgrading or changing hosts? I think I pay about $12.50/month for Exchange 2010 plus ActiveSync for my one-device account FWIW.

I figured it out!!

This one looks like crap, but I replaced the back button with just the word "back", to experiment and see if it works. It's super tiny, so I have to figure out a way to get whatever I want in that area bigger.

I don't know if I'll be able to figure out in which order the buttons are placed, though. Do you know where I can find that info within the systemUI.apk?

At least now I know I can change the softkeys to whatever color I want!!

P.S.: I also found out that Google actually does use the same color as TRON. It's the official color. Unfortunately, it's not as bright as the wallpaper's color. I'll have to see if I can mess with the default brightness of the keys as well.

Good job! I'd love to modify my soft buttons a bit (would especially like to add a search button), but not really sure how. I saw the link to the downloads, but not really how what to do (he assumes people just know what they're doing.) Do you know of a step by step guide somewhere to doing this?
 
I think they do that so they get more clients with creaky software that can use the service.

If it's a long term issue, I believe they support 2007 and 2010, but they balk at switching over all your data to the new server. I suspect if I threatened to pull the plug, they'd move it.

Mailstreet is a bargain now with Activesync. A mailbox with Activesync is like $5-7 bucks. The berry was $12.95 because Berry charged $9.95 a month for their BES software, and Activesync is $2 bucks. So that means in 32.14 months, I'll have paid for the Nexus.
