I just tried one out for a month through Target.
They have a 30 day guarantee, so you can bring it back before 30 days for any reason.
I wanted to try it out and see how it worked as I drive a large area. I ended up running Iheartradio, tuning to a station, then just threw it up on the dash and drove around.
Wherever I lost signal, I figured I had lost cell service. It has approximately the same coverage as my Verizon signal, but I didn't do tests for speed, 4g, lte, etc,
I had intended to pipe it through my radio through Aux in, but my phone had some issue and stopped playing when I plugged it in all the way. It would work if you gently inserted the plug just a bit, but when you snapped it home, it would stop playing.
I just wanted to know if it got signal and it was pretty comparable. Comparable enough, I could switch and don't believe I'd have many issues.
It cost about $110 bucks to start, and I got a $50 credit back when I turned it in.
Still looking at the Moto X. Hoping for a price break as they've been out 6 months, should bemaking that last final price cut.
Looking at switching 3 lines to non contract plan.
Does anyone know of the cheapest way to try a Tmobile phone? I want to see what the service is like in my area.
