Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Hey all!

So on the 29th of April I got to go to a Cyanogen event and do a hands on for phandroid.com. Super cool stuff regarding the OnePlus One. Thanks to Rob, Phases and the whole phandroid.com/AndroidForums.com teams!

Enough about me...Chief: put your foot down my friend!

Back to me: Meanwhile, I ordered a Pebble SmartWatch because I'm restless waiting for the new AndroidWear hardware. I only need notifications anyway, as cool as cards and deep integration with Google Now may seem...........for now...........

Miss you guys/gals. I'm really not here enough!

:(:D;):)

Jmar, did you get a regular Pebble or steel?
I like mine (though don't wear it everyday due to work), but will certainly pick up a 360 when it comes out.

I'm waiting for the Moto 360. I haven't had a watch in 20yrs, but the 360 might be mine. It seems, to me, like an actual smartwatch and looks fantastic(better than anything that has come out).

^^^that. I'm a watch snob, and would prefer to spend a few hundred dollars on a watch I will wear for several years. I busted my last watch up three years ago and hadn't found a replacement. Last December I was in Disney World and need to know the time, so I'm now wearing a $30 Mickey Mouse watch. I like the looks of the Moto, though I will need the see how thick it is. I really prefer a low profile for the watch face.

I did say a couple hundred dollars, not a couple thousand.:D I like slim, minimalist, and metal. It has to be an analog face. I can read an analog clock faster than a digital.

Got the regular in gray.

I'll probably end up getting an Android Wear watch, but since my job almost requires an iPhone, I like that the Pebble is cross-platform.

Yes... I again have an iPhone... This time a 5s... Acura vehicles have a USB Audio Interface built for iOS...

What's great is now that I carry both at the same time, I can truly say to the nonbelievers just how superior Android is in so many aspects. There is just SOOOOOOOOO much more that can be done on Android.

Anyway, we all know that Android is better... Night y'all!

I've been reading about this oil pulling and curiosity got the best of me. Trying it now and the taste makes me gag. This is going to be rough.

Folks, I am just aghast. We have been blessed so BIG!

The Darling Bride (also a veteran) has been fighting the VA for YEARS, trying to get a claim through for a service-connected condition. And the VA has repeatedly denied the claim, stalled, stonewalled, and essentially hoped that we'd give up and go away.

We didn't.

Well, we just got a letter from the VA, stating that the decision to deny her claim was "clearly and unmistakably erroneous" and they apologized!

But more than that: I made a routine check of our bank account using my smartphone app and almost passed out. They approved her claim, alright... and back paid her TEN YEARS!

While I won't divulge the amount, let's just say that Mrs. Chief gets her stainless steel kitchen appliances. And pretty much anything else she wants.

And I'll get my office/studio, Moto 360 and Note 4 ( see? I don't need much to keep happy! :D )

On top of that, our yo-yo son returned home from Texas at 12:30 AM Mothers Day morning. She was overjoyed to see him again!

All in all, a stunningly happy weekend in the Chief household.

:)
