Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

On the topic of HDR, here are some I have taken in the past year(ish). It looks really awesome when done correctly. It became a fad on the VW forums I visit and was frequently overdone and the pictures looked fake and "over-processed" -- but Photomatix or Photoshop handle HDR images very, very well.





 
Just wanted to report back my findings when testing Google Music:

1. Picking a song from Songs and playing at random (Shuffle) works fine.
2. Picking a song from Songs and playing in order works fine.
3. Playing songs in order from any album works fine.
4. Playing songs in order from a playlist works fine.
5. Playing songs at random (Shuffle) from any album does not work.
6. Playing songs at random (Shuffle) from a playlist does not work.

So that's not a dealbreaker by any means. I'm still seriously considering dumping my iPod Touch. I love the iPod Touch, but I'm trying to simplify and if I can finally have one device do everything, why not?
 
For those ordering tags from Tagstand, there seems to be some issue with ICS and Type 2 tags. So it seems like any Mifare stickers work perfectly with the Nexus -- I am using them at my desk and at my apartment right now to trigger tasks.

Trying to think of some fun and creative ways to use them now.

The only ones I can get to read 100% of the time are these (from the hobby pack): tagstand - Mifare Classic Sticker - Square (35mm x 35mm)

I was considering getting some of these. Thanks for the tip! How are you programming them? I'm working with my dad to make a desk dock and I want to put the nexus in bedside dock mode with a tag.

Ill probably be updating to gummyNex 0.3.0 this morning at work to see what its like -- anyone running that ROM? I'm on 0.2.6 right now and noticing some radio issues. Losing service randomly or not getting service coming out of airplane mode this weekend after my flights. Hoping the new kernel he included fixes those issues for me.

Gummy 3.0 is great ran it for 2 days and imo's 1.1.0 kernel is the best battery life I've ever seen on the GN. By a long shot. I was UV'ing though through setcpu. The 4460 chip takes some super low mV's it's nice. wifi hotspot is built in on 3.0 :)

I'm using imo's kernel on everything I flash now putting it through the ringer.

I hope to find time in January. I already have a teacher, its just finding a night that I'm free. And yes, you're all my teachers as well but I am a hands on/sight learner rather than read and follow instructions.

I think its really ironic that we have more phone related talk here than we did most of the last month of the pre release thread. I love it that its like one stop shopping here.

Nandroid'ing and flashing gummyNex 0.3.0 right now. Love that I can get right back to the state I was at with TiBU batch restore.

The dev community is simply amazing.

LOL isn't that the truth. I've learned more here about my Nexus than searching the "Galaxy Nexus Support Forum". Plus I get to to chat with all of youse that I got to know during the excruciatingly painful wait for this WONDERFUL device.

To celebrate, I ordered a spare battery this morning. Still 50% off at Verizon. Figured the extra 200 mAh of the extended battery wasn't worth the price increase. Now if someone would just get a horizontal dock in stock...

That pogo'd dock has been on my eyes since before this silly phone launched!

I've read mid to late January for release. Release thread for the docks?? :p
