Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Yeah we tested Skype and for some reason I have to hold the phone upside down or she gets an inverted image :rolleyes: but once she is in G+ I'll try Messenger... thanks!

just use Google chat works for me and the wife. stock on the Gnex.

Unfortunately Netflix HD doesn't work with ANY 4.0.3 rom at this point.

I have a 4.0.2 backup handy in case I need it.
 
I have a Skyrim related problem. I ended up buying and furnishing a house in Whiterun and was named Thane of the city. I married my female body guard Lydia and told her to stay put in the Jarl's castle. I then went to Ulfric to return his axe, which was a declaration of war against Ulfric by Whiterun.

I figured I could either kill Ulfric or simply leave. I tried to kill him but it didn't work. I hightailed it back to Whiterun but it was under siege. When I tried to get back into the city, I realized that I had somehow got myself mixed up with the enemy and was now fighting against my own people!

Is Lydia dead? Can I somehow get back into the city to defend it? I also tried using a shout that calls a dragon, but it wouldn't work.

I'm steering clear of the Power Saver stuff until Roman says it's safe, so I don't know about that. But I love this ROM in general. I've had no stability or performance problems, battery life is good, and the customizations have fixed almost all of my minor gripes about the Nexus. And Roman seems to be one of the most responsive developers I've seen.

Unless I missed something a shout does not call a dragon? It is just an attack. Aside from that, you are doing something I never did. I am the thane in Whiterun and another town, I bought 2 houses and I have Lydia staying in one to protect the stuff I leave there. I found a guy to hire for 500. He does magic, has a bow and uses a war ax. He has been fantastic for me. You could either just go with how the story is now playing out for you or start over? I started over 4 times.

Ah, I forgot to mention that I'm a terrible cheat. It was some console command that I used to get that particular shout.

I'll take a look at that link a little later. What an awesome game!

I use Google Talk. Or I did on my thunderbolt.

This is awesome, thank you for posting.

I have no real desire to root and try roms yet. If a great new radio or camera came out that was superior I might try it. I have had no issues with the phone yet. I overcame the battery issues with the verizon external charger that came with a standard battery and an additional extended battery. Problem solved without shutting things down. I really dont need the extended with 2 standards, but headroom is headroom...

Anyhoo, would there be benefits to learning to unlock and root and return to stock some other way, or even the hard way vs using this easy way? Is this way as good as the harder ways in the bitter end?

Generally the rule of thumb is that its OK to continue a program that you were using prior to pregnancy. I've had woman deliver the same day the did a cycle class . Most of the time the dr gives them an HR limit.
 
Out of lurk mode to ask a question:

I've been researching usb car charger adapters to get one that works well for charging the Nexus with equivalent power to the AC adapter. From what I've read, most adapters will be treated the same as plugging your phone into your computer and therefore draw less current than the wall charger. There is a mod you can do which involves taking the thing apart and soldering the D+/D- pins together. I don't really want to do that. Has anyone had any luck finding an adapter that will let you draw 1 AMP?

Still don't have my GN, but I tested a bunch of chat clients for the Xoom - and few worked unfortunately. Sounds like the same issues persist on the GN...

Yeah I just tested Google Talk and worked great, except my for some reason I couldn't initiate the video call, my wife had to from her Droid 3. I think it has something to do with the GNex not recognizing that her phone is capable of video chatting.

This charger has been claimed by several people in another thread to provide full AC-level charging.
