A detective might know that by checking information in his previous NFC-related screen grab -- one of the reasons I am not a fan of the foursquare app. But fortunately we are all "lounge friends" and have no reason (or desire) to snoop. ;)

P.S. This is also the reason my GPS shows "home" as the store around the corner from my neighborhood. No need to let a would-be thief use my own phone to swing by the house while I'm out!
 
If I made my Foursquare venue a "Home" then it would hide my address, but I honestly am not terribly worried. My building is an apartment with 17 units in and I don't have my unit in there and you need to be buzzed in.

But never thought about that keeping Home as somewhere NEAR your house and not actually your home address.

Same reason you should never leave Home programmed in a car GPS. Nothing like a turn by turn guide from you to have your house robbed.
 
Hello all, what's a good Call Recorder app for our SGN? Also, can a call recorder app be used on unrooted phones? Thanks...

PS: the apps on the market get a lot of poor ratings.

By the way everyone, I downloaded Splashtop and have been messing around with it. Very cool! It's the opposite of AirDroid; instead of controlling your phone from your computer, Splashtop allows you to control your desktop from your phone! Controls take a little getting used to, but it was very cool to see my laptop screen in a very tiny version on my phone. Highly recommended, even just to try it, laugh, and then delete. It's free, so why not? Still, I can see some pretty good usages from an app like this, so I'm keeping it.

Are you kidding? It's one of the reasons I still hang out in the lounge...well that and all the really cool/knowledge people.

I use Pulse on my phone and even with that I still don't always catch the feeds you post. Keep it up...as long as it's not a huge pain in your...you know.

Hahahaha, um, in all honesty, it is kind of a pain. I probably have too many RSS feeds. That's why I wanted to check to see if anyone actually reads it. XD But if you guys do still like it, I'll keep it up every day or two.

So you have this working?
I try downloading the app, but it saying that it is not compatible with the Nexus.

Don't do it if its a huge pain. Lol. I mean, we appreciate it but only if you have the time for it. :D

I downloaded this earlier and messed around with it for a bit. I couldn't figure out how to drag a file but maybe that has to do with connecting to a Mac. As a FAOTD on Amazon, it was fun to try out, but I think I still like TeamViewer better. I have used it for years to fix my mom's computer problems from my computer and now I can connect from my phone in a pinch too!

Hmm, very interesting, no client side installation needed? How do you gain access to the computer?

Sorry if my last post was misleading. There IS a client-side installation required.

I installed it on my mom's computer and set it up to run as an extension which runs on startup. It includes an auto-generated ID and you set your own password during installation. You can install a client only or a full install (I installed the full version on my Mac so that I can connect to mom's PC or allow my phone to connect to my desktop).
 
It wasn't your post that was misleading, the TeamViewer website says "Instant remote support – no need for any installation on the client side".
 
Just ordered my NFC tags! Gonna put one on my nightstand and one at work and maybe even one in my cars where I put my phone while I'm driving. I'm excited....about stickers! LOL!
 
Isn't a program like Tasker or Llama easier than setting up the NFC tags? Plus, you can't very well set up a tag at someone else's house, for example.
