Curious did you unroot and re-lock just to see if you could or for another reason?
 
I guess now I know how other people felt when some of us were talking CPU and megapixels in the prerelease thread. Don't we already have not one but two forums dedicated solely to rooting the Nexus?

It's not exactly my business, what with not being a Nexus owner and all, but I'm probably not the only reader bored silly in this Lounge Watering Hole thread. :rolleyes:

As an aside, rooting is lounging for some of us in the lounge :D

I did it to become fluent in it. I now can unlock/root, lock/unroot (go back to stock 4.0.2), I can flash stuff from fastboot... I'm golden.

I'm running the large font recovery and love it.

Well I was expecting this thread would be a nice place to keep in touch w/friends made during the long gestation of the phone, and now it isn't. But BabyBlues started this thread with the statement that all topics are acceptable, so I won't belabor the point.

Just be aware of the people you're chasing away with low-level tech talk in a nominally non-tech thread.

Or, we're creating a more leisurely inviting atmosphere for those who might feel more intimidated by posting their query in a sea of thousands. As BB's said, "It's scary out there!"

Well I did try to take that line of mine back. I do think this thread is still very much a good place to lounge; in fact, it's the level of comfort and camaraderie that we've all developed that makes me comfortable asking tech questions. I know that the people here are knowledgeable and friendly, what better place to ask? We often joke that this thread is our one-stop location for everything from tech, to food, to commiserating about work, and whatever else happens to be on our minds.

don't believe you have to mess with accessibility menu for it. just follow the little guide that comes with it. it said to check the box that allows speaker modification, keep the equilizer on good quality (default), then change the volume level AND press the volume up button until you hear a difference. Try setting volume to +10 and then hit volume up button a few times. You should hear the difference. The settings that work for nexus are between +8 and +11. Every other setting doesn't seem to work (higher than 11 stays at the same loudness as 11). Make sure to press the volume up button a few times to lock in the settings.

If this thread didn't exist in its current state of techiness I would not be taking the plunge to unlock the phone myself. At least not yet. I get too overwhelmed in the root sections. I do understand what you meant, BlueBiker but I wouldn't change the direction we've taken because its too informative. Give it a couple months and we will be back to pizza, beer, burger and dog talk. :D

So, I go to download Juice Defender last night and notice the version I bought long ago is now depricated. Apparently I now have to use the free version eventhough I paid for the full version long ago. I'm sorry, but that just rubs me the wrong way if that's the case. Anyone else have that issue?

NVM figured it out. Apparently it's still the same, for some reason it wasn't allowing me to go into advanced mode for a few minutes.
 
Nooooooooooo!!!

I installed a few mods into Skyrim and accidentally deleted my saved games folder and then emptied the recycle bin!! I had made it up to Legate in the Imperial Army!!

Now I have to start all over again.
 
So my grandfather gave my daughter an mp3 player for Christmas. I need to convert some of my iTunes to be able to put it on the player. What are your favorite programs?
