Did anybody NOT root? I haven't - I don't see the point for me, since it's already vanilla android with just 2 VZW apps that are already out of sight, out of mind. I only rooted my Eris to see what it was like and because I was bored with it.
I just feel like I'm alone in the non-rooting camp. Anyone else here? We've got plenty of beer!

F*#& THE WORLD!
Yes, I'm currently trying to find whats causing such a high AndroidOS battery drain - but its so intermittent I can't pinpoint one exact cause.
The kernel is throwing out messages that its being blasted with IRQs (interrupt requests) and not allowing the phone to sleep (check your awake time).
I don't like this at all -- what is keeping my phone awake?!
BTW here is some XDA info about the Keep Awake and battery drain we are seeing:

Here's mine, if it helps. Turned the phone on around 8 AM:yeah, WTF?
Talking to a dev right now about the issue -- hopefully I get stuff to test.
This is what he told me FYI:
I will keep you all posted if I hear anything over at XDA regarding this though.
So 22% for Android OS is normal?I'll see if I can get you in contact with the dev since you are not experiencing it.
You on 4.0.2 correct?
If you root you can download the AdFree app.Is there anyway to get rid of all the adds that keep on popping up while playing games and using apps?
Gooood Morning fellow Nexicans!
