so my battery reads 0% but the phone is still on LOL, and it should be low but i thought once it reached 0 it would cut off
 
Today was my first full day with the Gnex. Awesome so far! I've been playing a lot and the battery life is most definitively better than my Dinc (with 4G on all day). Thank goodness! Extended battery is on the way though.

Sorry if this has been discussed before but some of my USB chargers around the house aren't working right. One messes up the screen and another older blackberry microusb doesn't charge at all through my PC.

I'd like to load up on some new monoprice car chargers, wall chargers, and usb cables for work. Can anyone post what they have. Links would be great. Thanks!

I've run every single rom for the Gnex already.. (yes its a problem and I'm seeking help for it ;-) ) and here are All my thoughts:

Stock Pete 4.0.2 - great build. Basicly rooted stock rom and it won't break recovery. I believe its zip aligned too allowing a little better performance.

Revolutionary 2.1.1 - its a solid rom but I found it to be a little glitchy. I don't think its really better then stock and just didn't care too much for it. But that said it is a good alternative. Another thing I noted was that the EXT4 makes it impossible to copy files in the standard mode. Only the camera setting works. FWIW

Fabulous 4.0.2 build - this is my best 4.0.2 choice. Its solid, fast and has a slew of upgrades. It does have the typical slowdowns that all roms have, app drawer stutter, landscape keyboard lag.... but pretty much a well rounded rom.

Mr.Birdman 4.0.3 - best by far. It is AOSP which has its downsides like the lack of the new ringtones, gapps is not as full as a 'rom' would have. Wait for V4 to come out firat though. On V3 the dictionary isn't working and sucks. But the revamps to contacts and alot of the other upgrades in the aosp build make it way faster then any other rom.

Been reading a book on my Nexus all evening. Beautiful after tiny Droid screen. And the up down volume rocker is in the perfect location for turning pages. I love it!

Can't really use Wallet here as the only places that accept it are a few gas stations and one Burger King. But that will change in time I am sure. Still glad I have the app. I can use it online anyway. Its all good.

I LOVE this phone! Now, back to my book...the heroine is lost in a snow storm and should be rescued soon by the hunky hero. I can hardly wait.
 
Hey everyone. How was your first weekend with the GNex? I fall in love with this phone more and more every day. I know am unlocked and rooted (although not permarooted, not sure what that means for me), and grabbed wallet and wifi tether. Also I am now 36 hours without a charge. Still have 10% battery remaining. Way better than my thunderbolt. I had an ice cream sandwich yesterday to celebrate my phone. It was good.

Have you tried syncmypix? Its an app that does it for you.

36 hrs that's amazing are ya on the 2100mah battery I'm guessing?

I'm with ya the phone is easy on the eyes and is more likeable with every passing hour with it. ;)

I've run each one about 6hrs or so. I did about two battery charges per. I've had a very uneventful weekend lol..

Mr.Birdman is going to release the 4.0.3 with all the bug fixes.. best rom IMO 4.0.3 is crazy fast.

Glitches I've had with revolutionary:
The keyboard lag is worse then on the other roms. Its got a very slow landscape keyboard when typing reallg fast. I did NOT like the forced GPU rendering. Some apps don't support it and your sol on those apps. The app drawer had the typical lag. Nova fixes it. And the kernel had issues for me with OTG to my keyoard mouse. It would shutoff for no reason and not come back. Overall its real good, I've just been spoiled with 4.0.3

I am in the playoffs, but they don't actually start for me until next week. I feel good about it, none of my players are at risk of sitting out.
 
To Root or not to Root... that is the question. I would be a first time rooter.. Any advice?? Do you get better battery life when you root?? I'm one of the few who can only get 5 hours on moderate use. Maybe an exchange Monday?

the big battery life improvements will come with custom kernels/roms, and to use them you will need to be unlocked/rooted.
