Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Good Morning all! Battling a bug of some kind, my throat is sore and cruddy, love it :rolleyes:.
Gotta agree with jmar, this group is very tight-knit for a forum community, extending into RL. You are all a second family to me :)

Dread - I heard about that on the radio this morning, tragic. I hope the individual responsible gets what is coming to them.

Pretty sure consumers don't suffer because of rock-bottom prices. :rolleyes: And why is a US Senator interfering with a DOJ investigation?
 
Sorry to hear that Anti. Go drink some OJ! I've been waking up the past several mornings stopped up and cruddy but by mid day I've usually turned around and I'm fine.

So, question for you with the Nexus 7. I posted this in that watering hole, but I know some of you in here have one and frequent this thread more often.

I downloaded SuperSU and Clockwork and pushed them through adb to the Nexus 7. I issued the reboot recovery command through adb and that worked. Then when I issued the oem fastboot unlock command it just kept saying waiting. I tried it twice but got the same result both times. I know I'm probably missing something. I went through the unlock/root process with my Gnex and had no problems.

Razor, loved that video but I feel like a 7" really has the advantage solely because of its smaller size. And, knowing that a small fall that our Tab 10.1 took onto wood flooring shattered it's screen tells me it's all about how it lands that determines the damage.

Hope you feel better Anti, sounds like something I came down with on father's day. Lasted about a week, but the first few days were the worst.

And yeah, we are a few lost souls brought together by a common interest only to find we have far more in common than we thought.

Are you talking about your GNex? If so, I am interested as well. If I don't have my N7 then my GNex is getting a makeover this weekend.:D

Cap'n...I gotta tell ya, for someone out of practice for gifting to a 5yr old, seems like the age old adage: once you learn to ride a bike, you never forget!! Evan certainly made out on the deal, a prize packet worthy of any 5yr old or 35yr old!!!

Speaking of bikes, leaving for camping in about 6hrs, I have to work a half day this morning, and my 5yr old has been SO excited to go camping again! This time when asked if she wanted to take her bike or her scooter, since her 11yr old brother and myself are taking bikes, she asked for her bike....and then asked when we would take off the training wheels!! Woo hoo for growing kids!

Also I am sporting JellyBelly 3.8 plus 7/18gapps and 5 inverted mods and the notification toggles app....so far a stable build for me, but will be checking battery today again on stock kernal. I know everyone has a different experience with different ROMs, but this one likes my Nexy!!

Hope everyone has a great TGIF for those that have a Friday...and to everyone: Have a safe weekend. I will try to check in, but signal is shoddy out at the lake, and will post a few pics next week!
 
Good morning all - TGIF!

Crazy what happened in Colorado. For those on Reddit, the front page has an AskReddit (blocked at work) of someone that was at the theater that the shooting took place at. A pretty crazy read, but my thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by this. What an absolutely horrible thing to do.

Has anyone used the Nexus toolkit to root their device? My dad is having some problems rooting his Nexus and I couldn't get to the bottom of it last night. Seems like a drivers issue, but its hard to diagnose when I am not in front of the PC. If someone has, can you take a look at the thread below to see if you have any ideas? Need Help with GNex Toolkit - xda-developers

Quick enough. 30 minutes and I'm up and running completely set up the way I like it on Jelly Bean. Couldn't get Nova Launcher to run without crashing, that set me back 15 minutes or so because I couldn't restore my home screens.
