Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I'm looking for the "best" T9 dialer for my Nexus - suggestions? I LOVED the GB version of the dialer...why did they change that? Leaving off the T9 option? That's a big mistake, I think. I have used Dialer One in the past, and not crazy about it anymore.

So, suggestions for the best T9 dialer around?

Note that I can NOT get the search option to work for me on these forums, at all. It hangs everytime (browser).

Thanks in advance!

Well my second to last final is today! Big project is due tomorrow, going to be a long one.

No real news on the Nexus front. But I've found I usually have no bars of any service in my house but making and receiving calls has been perfectly fine. I've been using wifi other than that and it's quite a bit faster/less picky than the charge.

I had a DX, with GB on it. It did have a T9 dialer, stock. I had tried Dialer One with it, but liked the stock dialer SO much more, and uninstalled Dialer One. My phone (yes, actually making phonecalls on it...lol) is a huge part of my job, so I am pretty picky about sound quality, and of course the app itself. Not only did the it do T9, but when entering numbers/letters, it would bring up the matching entries, sorted by the most calls to/from. Very very helpful for what I do!

Thanks for the links on the other dialers...will check them out!

Well...with the blizzard, all roads are closed in and out of town. Looks like Fed Ex will not be bringing my phone again today. BOOHOO! :(

Got my extended battery yesterday, charged all night with the phone off. Took it off the charger at 7:10 this morning and at 10:45 I am down to 70%. I guess I am just going to have to accept that the 4G phones will just suck battery.

On a good note, I bought a pack of gum from 7-11 with Google Wallet.

Yeah Moto Blur comes with a T9 dialer as well -- not stock Android though.

Check those out though -- there are some good options there.

Posted it yesterday. When downloading a widget via market, app does not show up in the widgets tab until after reboot. Only option in market is uninstall prior to reboot.

What ROM? Have you tried clearing your your market cache/data and launcher cache/data? warning: clearing launcher data will bring you back to stock screens layouts. Just a thought...

What do you mean by your last sentence?

So first charge with the ext battery. Give it 2-3 charges it will increase slightly. Also, have you wiped batt stats yet?

Nice! Not bad at all. Did you get any of the accessories? I jumped for the extended battery, personally; it's arriving in the mail today.
Yeah, at least I pulled the price down to how much high-end phones cost before Thunderbolt. :)

I'm planning on using this without a case or screen protector. Extended battery is tempting especially with the current $25 deal, but I will see how the battery life goes for me, since I am not that much of a heavy user.

By the way, I love how GPS locks on almost instantly.

SO - I stopped by the corp store to see how my whites compared to their phones - mine was actually brighter and "more white"

NEXT, on to the radio -

My best speedtest was actually a little bit faster than any of the other devices 4g that I tested in the VZW store, so I guess that's as good as it gets for my area.

Well, I sure wish I could find a place to write up a bug report to Google about this lost music thing.

With 2/3 of my music loaded but not registering as "there" by any music program (including Google Music Player), I wiped the music folder and marked ALL of my online music for "offline" listening.

4GBs later, all my music was on the phone. Ya think Google put it in the Music folder? HECK NO! It's still empty! In fact, I can't find that music ANYWHERE!

So this is a major ICS issue, with it losing my music like that. Rant over.

Oh, by the way:

Astro File Manager can see the SYSTEM FILES on my Nexus and I'm not rooted! :D

I'm having this issue as well. I am using ES File Manager and my music folder is empty. The strangest thing is that after doing a Google search this is the only written complaint I have seen about it. This really needs to be fixed.

Wouldn't that be ten hours of battery time assuming this? If you get 3 hours and 35 minutes per 30% charge, obviously usage can vary, but I figure that's 10 hours and 5 minutes of battery. Or was the phone doing nothing from 7:10-10:45?

I'd definitely recommend getting the extended battery during the half-price sale, it's a real steal. More battery life is always a good thing, you never know when you might need the extra juice. Also, since the extended battery doesn't fit in all the cases, I'd say you going caseless makes the case for getting the extended battery even stronger. I've heard reports that the extended battery door actually makes the contour of the phone even more ergonomic and comfortable for the hand.

I received my extended battery yesterday too. I ran it all the way down to about 10% and charged it overnight. Took it off this AM at 0500 and am at 86% 6 hours later. You might want to run it down a couple times, it usually gets better after a few full charges

I believe you have to be rooted to do that, right? I am not rooted but I will keep running the battery down and charging while off for a few more days.

After downloading widget if I look for it in the market it only gives me the option to uninstall.
Caches were cleared, fixed permissions. Was on stock but moved to Fab's deodexed 4. 02. No need for data wipe. Wondering if it's just my device or another glitch.

Are you in a 4G area?

You, sir, are really tempting me. :D
Do you happen to know how long the sale would be?
