UGH.

I'm stuffed and we haven't even gotten to dessert yet!

EDIT: BTW folks, we have THREE desserts for 5 people... peanut butter cookies, homemade pumpkin pie, and of course the mocha cheesecake. How we're going to get all this inside of us remains to be seen: but we intend to give it our best shot!

We had 4 pies and one pumpkin cheesecake and there was only 6 of us.

I do wish I could post this in smell- and taste-O-rama, but this is the best I could do:

It is as awesome as it looks, too. The Darling Bride has outdone herself with this meal, and this is the epilogue that just makes the evening :)

EDIT: Now this is COOL!

Wow, JBSourcery 3.2 really jacked the Bluetooth on Ginny! None of my headset controls would control the music - I HAD to use the phone! (First world problem, I know.) As much as I want to be on the bleeding edge of technology, I had to wipe & flash back to 3.1.5. Now my BT headset works perfectly. Ah well, maybe the new 4.2 ROM will be better :)

Meanwhile, Chizzele was kind enough to extract the old deskclock apk for me, so I can easily replace that HIDEOUS 4.2 deskclock with the old one. As we go forward into 4.2 and beyond, I will be happy to share it.

My wife went to Walmart, all the major things we had on our list were gone. :p Its crazy there she says. Now she is waiting in the Belk line for the shot at the $1000 giftcard. Meanwhile, I am in my warm house, on AF :) Much better ;)

What a crazy day. Followed my parents home after dinner at sisters house and my dad took a plate of food over to the neighbors house, she lives alone and in her late 80's. I was about to leave when my dad comes walking down the sidewalk with the plate and said there was no answer. After an hour or so of trying to get in we find a key in her car. I walked in, turned to the right for the bathroom and...well...I found her where she had been laying for probably 24 to 30 hours.

I just hope I don't read any national stories of violence or deaths tomorrow. It really is sad that these things happen all from shopping for a deal.

Oh wow. That sucks.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We had a great day, so much to truly be thankful for. Like my new nephew, he is precious! So glad we ran down to meet him. Hope everyone else's day was as great as ours.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone :) We had a great meal, and all of the football games were very exciting. Good day to be a Pats fan for sure! I even let my lady drag me out for some midnight Black Friday shopping, the first time I've ever participated. Thankfully we only made one stop, at Kohl's. I got a new pair of jeans, and we also got some sheets, and stuff to give as holiday gifts. I didn't see anyone being rude or anyone shoving others to get to stuff, or any other horror stories like that.

Hope everyone in my AF family here had an excellent and joyous Thanksgiving with loved ones :) I'm thankful for all of you!

Oh wow, that sucks :( Very sad.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving yesterday and hope nobody is out in these crazy crowds shopping today! :D

Morning everyone! Well almost made it through without any unnecessary purchases, but ended up grabbing a 32" LED TV off Amazon last night. Although its not exactly unnecessary, the picture is completely shot in our bedroom TV, green artifacts everywhere. Of course, my wife is still shopping, so I may be talking too soon :p

I showed up to Sam's Club at 5am and I was about the 15th in line and number 6 on the list for the S3. They took our names and said they would take us by that order. I get in and a different lady says to just get in line. Then about 1/2 hour later the lady that told us that it was going by the order she wrote names down found out someone changed it. So, instead of having the phone now I now have an appointment for 1pm today. At least I know I'm getting it.

Oh wow, that sucks :( Very sad.

It's crazy to think that while the families on either side of her were celebrating Thanksgiving, she was...

My dad took it pretty hard because she has been our neighbor ever since I was born and before that, and he has checked on her almost everyday.

My condolence Halon. Not a fun time nor anything that should happen on that particular day, especially like that.

Black Friday.... Well, keeping my eyes on a new tv too, but going to be ordering it by Monday depending on prices.
Otherwise today is about wine and friends... And taking a break from everything. Been up for a while this morning, thinking too much about our moving... But keeping busy with updated ROM and FB people....
Hope everyone had a safe and family filled day yesterday.. And that most are recovered enough to enjoy the long weekend!
TGIF folks!

Sorry to hear about your neighbor Halon, not a very good thing to find on Thanksgiving for sure. Even sadder to think she was alone on a day like Thanksgiving. We specifically decided to have Thanksgiving at our house so my wife's grandparents had somewhere to go, they are both getting up there. He is a WWII vet, so you can do the math. My condolences to your dad, being that he looked after her.

Wow, sorry that had to happen, Halon. What a terrible way to go :( :( :(

I hit Black Friday at Walmart last night for just a FEW things. The majority of my time was spent in the checkout line... then we got up to the #2 position and the gal checking out was unable to complete her purchase ($749, yeah I'm nosy) because her card flagged her for fraud alert or something. SUCKED to be her!

Anyway, from pulling into the parking lot to pulling out was less than an hour. Not bad...
