Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

:( my N7 got a crack in the screen. Actually think it's the glass only, as it still works fine. But such a bummer. First electronic that has gotten it's screen damaged.

That's unfortunate. :(
I would see what a replacement screen would cost versus buying a new one. At least it's cheaper than many other good tablets.

Yeah the problem with it being so cheap, a replacement screen costs over 50% what the tablet cost. I think we will just use it as is for now.

So had some excitement on my way into work, my carpool partner hit something on the way in, I was kind of dozing in the back seat, scared me to death. Was too low to the ground to cause body damage, but did peel the underbody panel back so it was dragging the ground. Well I'm awake now!

Yowzers! Glad you're okay, Anti.
Yeah, when I called Samsung about getting a screen replacement for our Tab 10.1, first the guy had no idea (ugh, idiot), second he said "something" like $350-$400!
Needless to say, I did not have the screen fixed. ;)

Glad the honeycomb tablet is finally working... I think. :-)
Morning all.
Busy week at work, but feeling like there are some things set to rest finally. Funny how I feel like my entire time in Austin has been IT work, with or around the IT tech guy in the office... Fun for me, better for my team members, frustrating for him tho. He has been trying to fix that stuff for 3 months... Now they are fixed. Lol

Getting more settled, went out to dinner with a friend last night, and looking forward to spending time with more friends from back home that are coming in to visit today till Sunday.
Also, my son's 12th birthday is Sunday... Although I wish I could spend it with him, with a G Hangout and a gift in the mail, gotta let that be enough for now.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Honeycomb?!
Think it may be time to put that gal to rest. :p

Not that bad, really. The Market updated to the latest Play Store, Darling Bride has her games and such now... plus I'm slapping Gone With The Wind (her favorite movie) on it using DVD Catalyst 4. So no, it's not "bleeding edge" but it IS Android and it does work :)

So after a WEEK of flash attempts, I finally found a ROM that works and that makes the ol' Chief a very happy dog this morning :D

Congrats on getting it up and running Chief!

So anyone following the Dreamliner debacle? Cringe worthy to say the least.

P.S. To continue on the birthday streak, today is my oldest's 6th birthday. :)

Just messin with ya. I haven't really used my Flyer much (just serves as a bedside clock), but HC on it seems fine. Still think it's a solid tablet. I didn't get to use it much since it bricked. Took me a while to send it back to HTC for repair (EXCELLENT customer service :)). For the $99 I paid for it last year, it's fine for what it is (honestly, GB was pretty nice with Sense).

Happy Bday Mini-Anti!

6 is your OLDEST??? Wow, mine are young adults now, one moved out, the other we're trying to push out of the nest. Enjoy these years while you can and take LOTS of pictures!

Yeah, I'm only 28 :) we definitely take a ton of pictures. The DSLR we bought was the best investment ever.

Morning folks! Glad to hear you're ok Anti, definitely wakes you up when that happens doesn't it?! :) Happy birthday to your young'n as well :D

A tad unnerving to hear about all the dreamliner stuff since we're flying tomorrow, but we won't be on a dreamliner, so I guess that's good. Wonder if we'll run into Captain? :)

Has the good Captain ever told us what airline he flies for? I think that would be pretty cool to get him as a pilot.

...though I might be a tad worried that he's not too busy posting on here and not paying attention! ;) :p

I don't know if he has or not. But his frequent visits to Atlanta, home base of Salt Lake City and visits to Tokyo and Amsterdam make me lean towards Delta. :)

Ha, 2 inches up here is the equivalent of a Zamboni smoothing out the ice rink. Put a nice fresh coat of snow on top of what we have. But these last couple of winters have been tame, so maybe that analogy will change. That warm weather last weekend ruined it.

My brother told us stories of going to school in Ithaca and how ridiculous their winters were! He said the "popular" sport was sledding down the hills at Cornell on their dining room trays. :)
