Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Ok got my Nexus 7 unlocked and rooted. Took me long enough. Had a few problems but worked through them and got it done.

I noticed my Gnex has rebooted at least once on JB 3.8. Going to watch for that in the coming days. Don't want it rebooting on me on our trip.

I wasn't sure where to post this and I thought this place was as good as any.

A few days ago I considered finally taking the plunge and rooting. After a conversation with The_Chief and hearing how passionate he was about the procedure along with his assurance, I gave it a shot. Of course, the first time around doesn't often go smoothly (hardy har har) and I couldn't have asked for a better crew of folks to help me out. From VoidedSaint, to shaddyyy, to jova33, to iowabowtech, to Desertbum, to iDon't, and of course The_Chief, I was able to not only get this done, but learn a lot along the way too. This forum proves to me time and time again that kindness is not dead and there are great folks out there. A giant thank you again and you have my word that if I can get half as knowledgeable as you all, I'll share what I know too someday with some rookie.

A huge thanks to Chief for putting up with my countless PMs... I've been a part time job these last couple of days.

Oh, yeah... Jelly Bean is AWESOME!!!
 
Hmmm. If trying to read a book while you are half asleep is bad, trying reading about quantum mechanics = fricasseed brains? :D

The book is called The Quantum Universe (and why anything that can happen, does). Pretty good book, I love how they take the time to explain the math to you instead of just throwing out the formulas to you like many of the other books do.

It's just a basic blue Zenyth keys in 24dpi or 36dpi. I couldn't stand the giant 48dpi buttons anymore, so I just decided to mod it myself.

It works flawlessly on Droidth3ory's Axiom Antimyth rom, based on 4.1.1., but I would like to know if it works on Jelly Belly or any other 4.1.1 rom.

Just wipe cache and dalvik, and flash.

Using the 24dpi on jb3.8 and it rocks!
 
I want one so bad... :rolleyes: oh well. Morning all. Today is my wife and I's 5 year anniversary :) but I'm at work till noon. :p Olde Pink House for dinner, can't wait. Hope everyone else has fun plans for the weekend.

Just looked it up. Looks delicious! I love southern food even though it's very meat heavy. Loves me some basic comfort staples. :D

Looks good! Probably too interesting for my wife though :p She's pretty picky. In fact, there is not one entree on the Olde Pink House menu that she would eat without some sort of substitution. :p
 
Going to see Batman today at 1pm. I woke up this morning to find out that my parents are now married 40 years. Wow. I made it to 3 and that's it. LOL. Not sure if i'm going to reflash 3.8? I turned it off last night and let it sit a bit then turned it back on and it has yet to go into a reboot loop. Also hoping the battery is better today. If not I might go back to 3.4?

Yeah, actually I wasn't thrilled with the menu myself, but thought I'd give it a shot. Wife LOVED the bone marrow. I thought it was fine.
Can't stand picky eaters. :p I wish you luck. :)

Afternoon all! I am finally able to sit for a little while and have time to catch up around here. It's nice to see everyone getting along so well and all the help that happens. I love this place!!!!

I've looked at them and have thought about it but right now I can't justify it. I have my Nexus and my iPad and without a job I would rather save money to see DSB again. I figure I'll get the N7 eventually though. I am living vicariously through all of you.

Yeah, I'm fortunate to justify the price/addiction. :D
But, seeing those loved ones (is he one of those yet?) is certainly more important.
