Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Morning everyone!
Looks to be a quiet weekend in here so far. Hope you all are enjoying some summertime fun. :)
I thought I wouldn't fall in the hole of the N7 vs Gnex debate, but my Gnex really does look tiny now. :(

Probably a dumb question, but does anyone here know if the N7 has a notification led and if so, can Light Flow control it.

Finally got internet back and got my N7 unlocked, rooted, and all my stuff loaded. Really sucked yesterday having a shiny new toy with nothing loaded on it and no Internet.

^ VERY dumb question. ;)
No, I don't believe it does. There are some apps out there that flash the whole screen for notifications. They were developed when the first SGS1s came out for the US and none of them had notification lights (damn you Samsung). Never used them, but I know there's a few. Doesn't help much, but you can always rely on sound notifications.

Hmmmm - I'd love to have a pic of each person with their real name next to a pic of their screen name and avatar.

Hmmmm.... not a problem on this end, but:

What if - IF - you were to create an ONLINE Watering Hole Scrapbook? Something's that's password-protected so that only WE can get into it? That way we can all see your handiwork... and possibly have a copy printed out for our own memories?

(For security purposes - I imagine that the Fruit would LOVE to hunt us all down!)

:)

I can look into this and see what the options would be.

Good morning all! Last night's dinner was awesome, I had the crispy scored flounder, with grits and collards. Wife had filet w twice baked potato and mixed green beans (told you she would sub something dread ;)) I also had the BLT salad with fried green tomatoes and it was sooo good. If you ever find yourself in Savannah, visit the Olde Pink House. You won't be disappointed!

Alright well busy day today. I might check in later this afternoon.

Just got back from seeing the movie. Heartily add my endorsement. Excellent.

Ditto. Wife and I saw it in IMAX yesterday. Wasn't 3D, but still breath taking.

Waiting for some good N7 reviews from you guys. I wasn't really thinking about it until I saw the price. It would be nice to leave the computer at home for my trips.

:p

What Chief said. I'd go for that if it was accessible only to us "close personal friends" :p of BB in the GNWH. Not sure if I want my mugshot floating around the general 'net. I'm one of the remaining few on the planet without a FB account.

And we DO have scrapbookable (is that a word?) "real life" events in the GNWH - lots o' birthdays, Ryan's upcoming wedding, kids getting karate belts, graduations, blooming long-distance romance ;), anniversaries, a whole lotta "that's what she said's," Chief kicking a kid out of the house (JK) etc.

Just in case ANYONE'S still interested, Jelly Belly 3.9 drops TONIGHT!

This is the last in the series of initial AOSP builds. The 4.x series will be "proper" AOSP builds per dev ( don't ask me what that means :p ).

Get your flashers warmed up!

Chief, is this different from the 4.1.1 from team Vicious?

I don't know. I've been enjoying AOKP, warts and all.

Hi! :D

Bye! :(

EDIT: BTW it's all good, Copacetic & Capt'n Ron... if you found a JB ROM you love, stick with it. Just giving Jelly Belly enthusiasts here the news...

Next time amigo for sure!! Just going to make it home on time ( wife driving while I'm here enjoying my unlimited data doing work email, at least thats what she thinks:pcguru: ).

GNWH scrapbook sounds like a neat idea to me..let me know if I could help.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Will post pics of our woodsy adventure in the morning. Just got back sunburnt and tired....

Thanks Chief, I guess I was really asking if this is the initial aosp and 4.x is the final aosp, what does that mean? I guess I thought aosp was final when released. Vicious already calls there's 4.1.1, does that make it a proper aosp build? I think I am confused.

No, Copacetic, the entire Google AOSP is currently at Android 4.1.1. So that's what everyone's on.

As I said, I'm not sure what Jay is doing with the "initial AOSP" builds in the 3.x series, unless he's just fixing things as they break from the 3.0 build.

He's promising to rebuild the ROM basically from AOSP scratch for the 4.x series. But then, it's a race between devs to do just that.

Trust me, as much as I love Jelly Belly, it's a gap-filler for me until AOKP is matured to its former ICS glory. I SO miss the customizations! Jake has promised to keep Jelly Belly as close to stock as possible... something I'm not that keen on sticking with for the long haul.

Morning everyone!
I think I'm honestly going to sit tight on where I am until AOKP is in full 4.1 release. With all the new builds, I'm not seeing much for enhancements in terms of tweaks (correct me if I'm wrong). But, the alpha CM10 build for the N7 looks intriguing. ;)

Edit: Dangit Chief! I just had to go read how awesome Xenon was (I'll trust anything Jbdan writes) and now I'm downloading. :D
