SignOn.org - Stop Paul Ryan's attack on railroad workers and railroad retirees

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) has proposed needless and unnecessary changes to railroad retirement, a sound pension system that costs the taxpayers nothing yet is solvent as it is completely funded by railroad workers and the rail industry itself. These changes will adversely affect current railroad employees and retirees and their families, increasing their taxes while decreasing their benefits, while saving the taxpayer nothing. Railroad workers currently pay higher taxes than most citizens to fund this system, and there is no need to force them to pay higher taxes to fund something that is solvent. Further, this budget proposal will decrease the benefits of current retirees. This is completely unnecessary as well, as retirees should not be penalized for something they paid into their entire careers. Please contact your elected officials to stop these unneeded changes to the Railroad Retirement System.

We Brits didn't do too bad either. Put on a good show and won a few medals in the process.

The Americans though - indomitable! Reminded me of Olympics past when it was the US against the USSR.

Excellent Olympics. Just what it should have been.
 
I'm sure the Nexus 7 is great and everything but I would still rather have a screen I could insert the Gnex into the back of like the Padahone.

Dude, I totally agree. The Padfone looks awesome. I almost (almost) wish I'd waited and passed on the GNex and gotten that. Definitely nowhere near as much customization/rooting, but the portability/flexibility would be incredibly useful and seriously awesome.

Yeah. that would be awesome. But im worried the tablet would be too thick and too big to accomplish that. 7" is the perfect size for me, its is much more comfortable to hold than the 10.1 Acer.

Brits definitely benefited from some home field advantage. They were giving out the stats yesterday but they won considerably more medals this year than games passed.
Just catching a rerun of the women's volleyball gold medal game. Not sure who wins but Brazil is putting a hurtin on those US ladies.

Good Happy Sunday all. Busy last couple of days, my younger brother had his first child at 48, a beautiful baby boy, nearly 10 pounds born yesterday evening. We have my oldest, (and previously only :) ) , nephew and his buddy here for a week before they head back to college, they are about to be 21, can anyone say testosterone, lol. Hubby's birthday was yesterday and y dad is coming up from the beach today to spend some time with us as well, so we have a full house.

I do however have an android question for my friends here. Since upgrading to JB, both on vicious and on CNA, my gallery is not organized the way i have it set up. For example, in astro, everything is neatly filed in folders with some sub folders inside of larger general folders. However in gallery, they seem to be all over. Does anyone know if there is a folder somewhere in astro like in root, that is the top folder for gallery. I don't mean the DCIM folder or the Pictures folder, but a gallery folder? I can not seem to find the master folder that organizes gallery.

Charged the dead phone last night, pulled off the charger slightly after midnight, checked something on chrome. Pressed home. Sat the phone down, woke up after 8am and the phone was dead. again. Sitting over night. Probably the same thing before.

This phone is completely unreliable. :mad:

I will check out the GSam battery.
