Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

She can't tell the difference between it and my Kindle Fire so I am good on that.

Sounds like MY Darling Bride! I love her and all, don't get me wrong... but she's about as technically impaired as they come. I could show her a new Nexus 7 and call it a used monstrosificating cadorfousizer... and she wouldn't know any better. The poor gal has an SGS3 and uses it like a Jitterbug

I love how you can go from feeling fine to feeling horrible at the snap of a finger. Purchased Zicam, Nyquil and Dayquil.

Edit..can't figure out a different way to post the family picture...other than on my G+....sorry.

Thanks BB and Jmar. It was a beautiful day. Absolutely intoxicating.....and one for the memories!!! Fun and family filled. I will post some more photos on our wedding website too...and post the link soon.

Congrats Ryan! My wedding was low key, but still fun, and memorable. Gifts were low key too, but we had just closed on our house the day before, so we spent the week after moving in to our house. Good times.

Good morning, happy Monday!

Congrats Ryan - what a wonderful picture. Glad the day went well.

Short week for me - only hear until Wednesday and then vacation time in Ocean City, woohoo!

Yayyy Ryan and family! What a great thing! :D

And now to the terrible thing:

*** WARNING ***

If you use Apex Launcher, DO NOT UPDATE IT!

The Play Store will prompt you to install the update for JB (ICS compatible). Once you do that, Apex will stop functioning. The home button will FC Apex and nothing will happen. You will, essentially, have a soft-bricked phone.

I was only able to recover out of that without a nandroid or ROM reflash because I'm freaking brilliant

If you come across ANYONE who has this issue and updated:

Use the recent apps button to go back to Play Store. Hit the back button to see all installed apps, and scroll down to Titanium Backup. Open it. Restore Apex Launcher (App only). Fixed.

If they don't have TiBU, it'll cost them: they'll have to wipe and flash their latest nandroid. And if they don't have that and/or aren't rooted? Then I am at a total loss as to what to tell them... other than wait for Apex to release a fix update. But they can never turn off their phones. EVER. Doing so will lose the Play Store in recent apps and they will never get another shot at updating.

This is not pretty.

Morning all! Thanks a ton for the PSA, Chief; I see the update for Apex in my Play, but I'm definitely steering clear.

EDIT: Have any Sourcery people switched back to Nova? It just occurred to me that it might not be my ROM that's slow, but the launcher. Going to try Nova for today and maybe the rest of the week and see if that helps any.

I never switched to Apex (not running Sourcery, but still). I love Nova and its plenty fast for me and they just updated yesterday and its even faster.

I also got hit by the update, but because I have to have a shortcut to settings as one of my soft keys, I was able to uninstall it from the apps menu and then reinstall the last beta apk that I had downloaded. Mini panic attack avoided.
