Saw this and thought of my friends here:

Not off to a good start. Just had the lawyer cancel the closing for tonight, and then I got an email saying the phone I just sold on Ebay is not working. Never mind it worked fine when I shipped it, and was practically brand new. Sigh.

Sorry to hear that Anti. Try to find your happy place though.

Haha, well I did my loan through Quicken Loans, and they found someone else to do the closing on short notice, so at least that will still happen on schedule. :)

My boss is trying to get me to rent his old house. It's beautiful and is a pretty good deal but more than we need and not the best of locals. I'll show the lady the Craig list ad and see what she thinks.

Morning all! Long day at work to look forward to :p Oh well, at least I am getting paid. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Thanks, Anti. Too bad it'll only last another day. ;)

Upgrading my Prime to JB! Woot! :D
All three of my devices on 4.1. (well not my Flyer/bedside clock stuck on that garbage known as Honeycomb ;))

I'm off for the weekend. I had yesterday off too but that was a complete runaround day. Left the house at 10:30 for my root canal. Even managed to get a report in here mid-process:rolleyes::D. From there I went straight to Evan's school do dismiss him for the doctor's. Thankfully no pink eye, but an infection none the less. Stopped at McDonald's fora bite to eat. Definitely not my favorite food, but one of those things you do with your son that is heartwarming. Off to the pharmacy we go where Mrs. Pup had the antibiotics ready. Get the first dose in him at the pharmacy, ruch home and get his Ghi on for karate, run out the door. Finally home at 6:30. I hate days like that.

I'm hoping for a quiet weekend.:)

My nexus narrowly avoid a bad situation last night at work. I had to cut a piece of metal off a locomotive that was over my head and as soon as I started cutting I knew something was going to happen. Being a boikermaker we are required to wear these green flame ******ant pants or overalls. I wear the overalls. Anyway. I piece of hot metal fell down and burned through the top of the overalls, through the two shirts I was wearing, on to my chest, rolled down, burned back through my shirts and overalls, came out and fell onto were my right pocket is, burned back through the overalls, through my pants that I wear underneath and right into the pocket that I keep my phone. Luckily I wrap my phone in white cloth to keep metal dust from getting to the speaker. From the burn mark on the it would have went right on the screen but it must have deflected it enough and it just went down my leg. I would rather suffer the pain from hot metal burning my skin then my phone being deformed.

Ouch, I'd stick with the hot peppers if I were you.

FAVI SmartStick -- $50 smart TV dongle brings Android to HDTVs

If you thought smart TVs were only for the privileged few, think again — a technology that once cost hundreds of dollars can now be had for the low price of $50. The FAVI SmartStick is a small dongle that can be plugged into any HDTV, instantly transforming the device into a full-blown Android-powered smart TV with the ability to stream music and movies or browse the Web. The stick runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is equipped with 4GB of storage, Wi-Fi connectivity, DLNA support for media sharing and access to the Google Play Store. “We are thrilled to introduce this easy to use device for both work and play,” said Jeremy Yakel, founder of FAVI Entertainment “SmartStick allows for much more than a streaming video box, it’s your SmartTV, Home Theater and PC all rolled into one.” The SmartStick will be available on October 30th through various retail outlets in both 4GB and 8GB flavors for $49.99 and $79.99, respectively.

Ouch Halon, that sounds like it hurt a little bit. Over how long of a time period did all that happen? Must have been one hot piece of metal!
