That is too bad about the fish tank, but that is great that your friends are also moving to Austin. That should make the transition a little easier.

Have you gone out to Austin yet Ryan to check it out?

Unfortunately no, we have never been. And because we have to take time off already at Christmas time to take care of my kids for a week while THEY are on vacation, we are not even going to be able to take any time...or even a weekend to go out there ahead of time. Going to be relying on pictures from our friends and the real estate agent to find us a good house, and a few holiday-days off and a weekend to travel and move our stuff.

-Wish it were possible, and maybe it still will be, but as of now, we don't have the opportunity....So, we will see what it looks like the day we drive into town. Although to be honest, other than the heat, we have not heard a single bad thing about the city. Only good things and recommendations to go!!

Watching new Dexter then new Fringe while eating Cajun Mac n cheese. All I need is a glass of red wine and I'll be all fancy :)

Good morning, fellow Nexicans! Thanks for the RSRSS, RS! :)

Looks like I need to start wearing a high collar when I come to visit in here! ;)

Morning folks! Kinda slow in here yesterday, which made for a slow, but slightly more productive day at work. Let's change that today, lol.

My Dad texted me last night asking me if I wanted another dog (I have 3 already) to which I just laughed and said no. Apparently his 8 month old lab is getting on his nerves with the hyperactivity and digging. lol :)

EDIT: Good to see OTD back in here, even if it was for one post.
BB, Nice new avi :)

Good Morning all! Dark clouds and rain here this morning, maybe the rain will save me from myself and force me to take a day off from painting. Been working on a property we bought just before we headed to the mountains for the summer. One thing always leads to another , but we simply cannot be slumlords, its just not our nature. Installed a new water softener and whole house filter on the well yesterday, I am sure our tenants will notice a huge difference in the quality of the water. We did not know the old one was not working until we saw them going to the Laundromat and when we asked them why they said that the water was turning their cloths orange. A little investigation and the old softener was shot, probably had not run all summer. Got the old one cut out, reconfigured some pipe and got the new system installed yesterday, they should notice a difference by now. Busy as usual, but i like it that way! Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Those pics came out great!
Morning all. Trying to resettle into some kind of normal...routine again. Also trying to just keep to our sanity....

Feels like we are stuck kind of in a funky spot because of the impending move and work and people there who have "checked out" already...frustrating since we know we still have the same jobs after December, and most of the other people are feeling slighted by the company, and just waiting out the severance...anyways, thanks for letting me rant for a bit.
Copa....sounds like what we do to with the house, and sounds like your tenants will love the "new" water!!

Thanks, as always for the RSS!! Love that Goodbrews link.....
Have a great day everyone!!

You surely aren't taking those shots with a Nexi are you?

Mine has to debate focusing for 3-4 seconds precluding anything like this on my device.

I like taking photos of "hot cars" and sending them to my German friends/future son in law but it's hard to plan 10 seconds ahead, to get the camera out, unlock it, starting focus, wait for it, wait just a bit more, DAMN he's gone!

Good morning everyone. Finally caught up with the stuff I missed this weekend.

Weekend / time off was a blast, I always love my vacation in OC. Here are two of my favorite shots from down there - panning photos are much harder than I had expected.

Nope taken with my dSLR, not my Nexus.

Can't remember if I told you guys or not, but I cracked 1,000 active installs on my app this weekend! :D Averaging 30-35 installs per day for the last month or so. Pretty awesome to see the growth of my app these last few months. I eclipsed about 300 active installs mid-late August according to the graph and now sit above 1,000! Crazy growth in just a little over a month!
