Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Our trees are very very bendy right now. The gusts are pretty strong. But not a lot of rain to go with it. Schools were just closed for tomorrow. The municipal building and library are both open from 8 to 9 for electronic charging for those who lose power. (Not sure it would be safe to drive there by that time tonight but it's a great thing for them to do.)

BB, stay safe. Charged devices are not worth risking your life. Good luck New Jersey!

Nah, I mean, it's no iPad :p This really is going to cause me to get in trouble with the wife if I'm not careful. I think I could sell the N7, my PS3, hmmm, what else...got to be something else so I could break even on it. If I sell the PS3 I gotta get another $100 so I can buy a blu-ray player to replace it. Maybe I could get $200 for the N7, $250 for the PS3 and games, and then find something to sell for $50.

I would love to get it also. I have two original ps3s but I don't think I could bring myself to sell either one.

Ours went out for a out a minute then came back. Got to have the fire department out though - tree fell in the back and landed on some wires. Caused some sparking. Was fun times.

We're getting hit pretty hard by one of the heavy rain bands. winds are sustained probably between 25-35mph; though there have been some pretty big gusts. There are loads of power outages in my area, but I still manage to have it somehow

Center of the storm is nearing us. Winds are picking up here. Reporters were saying it's the top half of the storm producing the worst winds (around southern NE).
Next 6-8 hours should be the worst of it.

Steady 30mph wind with gust up to 60 now. No power. Good times.

I now understand why people buy candles. My two scented candles will have to last lol

Ugh, they're going to try and open the restaurant for dinner tomorrow AND want all the managers in since the Metro is still closed. :(
Here's hoping the power DOES go out! :)

They deliberately shut down a lot of that portion of the city to hopefully eliminate problems getting power back after the storm.

Word of advice from a Floridian who has been through quite a few storms. Candles are some of the worst things you can use indoors during a storm.

The man has his faults but in big weather events he just says what the rest of us are thinking and he tries to do right by people. I'm not sure about rescheduling Halloween but I'm all for it. :D

Yeah, certainly is a straight shooter on it. His sound bites I've heard from the past couple days have been dead on. Basically, "If you stick around, you're STUPID". :)
