Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

So got my SSD and installed it tonight... Holy Cow! LOVE IT! THen to top it off, I was getting all my Microsoft Software redownloaded from my school's site (which gives some for free). And they are giving Windows 8 Pro upgrades for free! Good night! :D

Good morning all - happy almost Friday!

Seems that 4.2 natively supports iOS group messaging - I wonder if they do it the same way its done in custom ROMs. But anyway I'm thinking about going stock 4.2 for a while until Sourcery or CNA do a 4.2 ROM. With the quick settings pulldown I think I would be pretty much fine since 4.2 seems to be amazing.

The ONLY ONLY thing I'd miss is the Quick PIN Unlock where I don't have to hit "Ok" to unlock the screen after entering my PIN.

Wow, what a crappy weather day here... 45 and pouring rain at the moment. These kind of days you wish you could stay in bed.

Morning all.
Hope everyone is Coasting along this Thursday... Almost a Friday! Sunsets are beautiful here, definitely going to miss the sunsets over the ocean views!
Had a nice birthday dinner for the wife at a local seafood restaurant this week, going out to dinner Friday night with some family friends we have not seen for a while, and going for a 3hr sail this Saturday... Just the wife and a double date with her sister and her boyfriend... BYOB, so that should be fun.
Otherwise... Work is interesting.
Since the move to Austin was announced, management decided to hire a new group, give them time to catch up so we have a smooth transition next month... Except that this is the slowest time of the year. So now, the new group has been given all the backlog, finished it, taking stuff from our desks to learn it... And now we are bored. Not sure how well that will go over for the last 3 people who are just coasting out till the severance. And both my wife and I will be taking about 2 weeks off at Christmas for the move... Here's us hoping the new group will be trained enough to back us up by then.
Morning all!

Hope you find Texas welcoming. I moved here from OC California 6 years ago. The biggest issue for me was the food (aside from the weather). "Mexican food" especially is a quandary of processed cheese and unseasoned meat. They even have their own name for it "Tex-Mex". Anyway, I ride my bike almost every year from Houston to Austin. I love it up there. Many more things to get you moving outside. Well, I hope you enjoy it here. It has become my home rather quickly .

UGH.

Trying to ask a simple question in XD_ without their getting snotty is like pulling a hen's teeth. So happy to be part of AF :)

Isn't that the truth? I know there is some good knowledge over there, but I much prefer the friendly atmosphere of AF.

I'm sure the quality of this place is due to all our great guides and mods. :)

Kim... Thanks for the welcome! And funny thing... Some of our coworkers that have gone out to visit have said the same thing about the Text Mex... We are trying to get our fill of our local Mexican food before we leave!! Lol!
We are looking forward to it... Really... Its just always hard to pick up and move away from family... But I am sure we will make new friends quickly and enjoy the area!
