Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Thanks for your reminder doc for flashing Chief, it is a great checklist to go by. Two questions for you, I just downloaded 4.2 and gapps from IRC. Check sums were wrong on first two downloads of 4.2, but third try got it (great reminder to everyone to do btw). First, any bugs so far for you? Second, I noticed in your checklist, no mention of clearing settings in Wallet. I assume this is something we still need to do?

Definitely CHECK YOUR MD5s!

So far the only hiccup I've had is Apex Launcher says it stopped, but it still works. I experimented and *GASP* restored call log & SMS/MMS from TiBU... and it worked! Manually set up my accounts and settings, though. I think the newer versions of Wallet don't require wiping data: at least, that's my experience.

So far, so good!

EDIT: First "bug" -

I selected Zenith Series By arzbhatia Soft Keys in BLUE. They're WHITE.

I think I'm going to migrate from Eclipse and try Sourcery 4.2 tonight. Don't have a cord handy in case things go really bad. Always like to be prepared.

Okay, I am officially LOVING JBSourcery 4.2!

The flat-out bomb - diggity of ROMs right now :D
Highly recommended!

I've been enjoying the smoothness of JellyBelly, but if Chief says JBSourcery 4.2 is the bomb who am I to argue? Besides, I do miss the customization.

Thanks again for the IRC help Chief!

I just got this in my email and had to share.

4.2 JBSourcery is ROCKIN'! A couple of minor "bugs" but no doubt they'll be ironed out. This IS a preview after all :)

No sweat, Capt'n. You're very welcome!

BTW Chief, you look way to stoic in that chair. Lighten up, it's the holidays!

I'm a pretty stoic guy anyway (well, stoic with a casual edge of silliness) :p

How is the battery on that? I have AOKP now and my extended battery won't last more then 5 hours

Although it may be a bad battery because it gets insanely hot

Morning all!

Have my company's engineering appreciation luncheon today, where they have a drawing for some nice electronics and other things. It will be the 5th year, and I haven't won anything yet, if I were an optimist, I'd say I was due... But I'm not, soo... ;)

So I think I am going to start using my Gmail more. It's always been a hidden email for me, but I think I am missing out. Google Now has a lot of integration with it.

Good morning!

My battery life is comparable, though I AM on the extended battery.

Great news - Pre-release #2 in IRC right now! WHOOT :D

Sourcery was never great with battery life for me. I did flash Franco's kernel yesterday though.
Yep, saw the "magic note" about another release! May look into it today.

Good Morning Everyone! It has been fabulous here the last few days, mid 70s and gorgeous! Just flashed sourcery pre-release 2, restoring through Titanium now. I had a few bugs with the first pre-release so hopefully this one is a little better. Have a fantastic day!
