Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Hate that I had vacation time during this week and I'm still already over 40 hours WITHOUT counting the vacation pay... Grrr.
 
That sucks Kelmar. I've had a few of those as well over the last couple of years. Problem for me, is I am salary, so it's not like I get the hours worked, plus the vacation time. Hope that's not the same for you, and you can at least get a nice little check out of it.

That's the reason I went from salary back to hourly. :p

Morning all and TGIF for the Friday folks... Life has gotten in the way for the last couple of weeks, but feeling like we are getting back to normal... I hope.
Almost done playing catch up of the first 2 seasons of Game of Thrones... And hoping for a quiet weekend.

Also, had a talk with the wife this week... Apparently we need a vacation. Lol. Now on to figure out where to go, what to do... And how do I surprise her?
Hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend..?!
 
There is a thread on News (blocked at work), but some one is listening to scanners and posting live updates and getting news and reports out 15-20 minutes faster than any major news outlet.

Definitely worth taking a look at -- you'll see it when you get there.

Scary, for sure. DC is often a target of terror/violence, but I've never experienced it while living here.
Feel for those folks. :(

Hey Ryan, have you thought about a weekend getaway to a bed & breakfast? Doesn't have to be a 10-day vacation to recharge... we got a great deal (half price) on a B&B getaway on livingsocial and will be in the North Georgia Mountains in time for the leaves to change this fall. Only an hour away from home :)

Halon: I know of a private railway in Nashville that does excursions throughout the year... I bet their little station would LOVE to display that! :)
