Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

It is very sad. I thought 5.3 was it, so the Encore is a real treat. Someone in the dev community really peed in Eagle's cheerios and he's disgusted with it all. I can see his point... but there are THOSE types in any community. Perhaps when cooler heads prevail and Android 4.3 hits AOSP he'll be inspired to indulge us yet again with a Sourcery Special Edition.

It's been great, and that reminds me that I need to donate again :)

EDIT:

I wanted to let you all know publicly that I'm leaving for a little while longer. So behave ;)

I know I've been virtually non-existent here for the last week while the parents were here. Good news: they went home. Bad news: I'm going to be TOTALLY non-existent here for the next 10 days. Bonnaroo is upon me, I have 3 days to get everything together and packed into my conversion van, which will be my home from Tuesday until next Monday the 17th.

But how many chances do you get to see 150 acts on 10 stages in 4 days? Everyone from Mumford & Sons to ZZ Top to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to Bjork to Paul McCartney will be there! Yep, HIM!

So there I will be. Completely shut away from what passes for civilization and out of contact... except by phone to the Darling Bride and the two former tax deductions. Have fun, I know I will, and I SO look forward to getting back to what I consider to be "normal".

Rock on, dudes and dudettes! See you in 10 days! :D

Chief, have a ton of fun! I'm super jealous. Some lesser known bands you HAVE to see:
-Of Monsters and Men
-Dwight Yokam (not less known, but I love his twang!)
-Calexico (not sure how their sound has changed, but we loved them when we saw em in NYC in 05)

Can't believe you get to see Bjork, one of my all time favorites. Have never seen her but hopefully she's still kicking it in her "old" age. :D

Oh yes! Have fun Chief :cool: Dive into the music and forget the rest of the world.
What an awesome line-up! Whaah!
See Wu-Tang Clan, Of monsters and men, ZZ Top, Billy Idol, Weird Al and Empire of the Sun too if you get the chance :D

Wu-Tang hasn't been the same since ODB passed. Saw them the same year he passed at Rock da Bells in 08! Live ass show! ODB's kids performed. Method and Red tore the house down!

Undecided yet whether hubby64 and me are going to this festival:

We got married eleven years ago on startingday of the festival and had our honeymoon in music, mud and 80, 000 peepz :D

Can't do it, Kaat. The artist schedule puts Billy Idol and Weird Al on different stages... at the same time! :(

So, I default to weirdness over rockness and will see Weird Al. If I can stay up for his MIDNIGHT show

Thanks for the band advice. Right now my volunteer schedule has me working around Paul, Bjork, Mumford & Sons and Weird Al. And why Empire of the Sun* has to play at 2 AM is beyond me... I promise I'll try to fit those other guys in to my off-time schedule as well... but you just can't see everything! It's impossible!

*Never heard of them, but just had a listen on Google Play All Access. Pretty impressed. Thanks, Kaat!

Some Wu-Tang fans in here and ODB?! I've been a fan since forever! 36 Chambers and Liquid Swords are two classic albums!

I read awhile ago they were working on an ODB movie.

They announced that they are no longer developing it. Sad for all those who use it as a DD.

this saddens me greatly... maybe we will get lucky and someone will build from their source or continue on their source for a little bit making it last longer ... more of a surprise that they are stopping development of a nexus device there must be something else behind it
