Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I'm sorry Copacetic, losing a family member like that is difficult no matter the species. Sounds like he led a long, full, happy life though, so I would take comfort in that.

Copacetic, I feel ya. My wife's parent's dog was just put down last week and a good family friend of ours' died as well. :(
I understand the heartbreak it causes. Hang in there!

On a side not, has anyone tried using Flipboard to access their Twitter feed? It's actually really slick.

Since we are on the dog subject. The only dog I had was when I was married. I last saw him on Dec. 22nd 2005. Flash forward to 2011 and I'm at work. I get a call from my sister and she's crying. I don't know about you but when someone calls me crying I automatically think that someone has died. She tells me that Kim(ex-wife) sent her an email saying that she is going to take Rocky to the vet to have put down. So I told my sister to email her back asking if I could go there and see him before it happens. My ex never answered back. I sometimes wonder if he would have remembered me.

Very sorry to hear, Copacetic. It's always tough to lose a pet, especially after that long a companionship. It's okay to grieve... let yourself.

:( :( :(

On a whole other note, I found a really curious and cool little thing called Nextdoor. Not only is it a website community, it's a smartphone app too! So if your neighborhood isn't already in the system (mine wasn't), CREATE it. You set the boundaries and Nextdoor will literally send a postcard to everyone within that boundary, inviting them to join.

You can send and receive messages with your neighbors about urgent things like fire or suspicious activity... or mundane things like yard or garage sales. You can also invite neighbors to join by e-mail. Or warn them about bad weather coming, or just something like "Have a great weekend!"

Anyway, I created my neighborhood and thought the whole thing cool enough to share with you :)

Sorry to hear about that Copacetic. Always tough :(

On a separate note, I went to AT&T yesterday to try and get a voucher to order my wife a customized Moto X and they had problems porting her number because mine wasn't active yet since my phone hadn't arrived. Leaves me with the option of ordering on a new account and then joining the two or waiting till mine comes in and going back to get a voucher. Probably just go ahead and create a new account instead of deal with the hassle of the AT&T store again.

Played with the phone while I was there and it feels great. Very snappy, solid feeling in your hands, great build quality, sharp screen, and even the camera surprised me. Correctly exposed 2 pictures with the foreground inside the store and tons of light coming through the windows behind the subject.

So sorry Copacetic. Been through that twice and will never forget those two days. Pets can actually be more family members than some human members. So hang in there and know that their love endures all.

I know how you feel about your dog. It hurts. Even though he was a dog he was still a part of your family. I am sorry for your loss. Been there, felt that.

Thanks for all the support for the loss of our dog. Today was better than yesterday, but still really hard. He was always right there wherever you were and now he is not. Tomorrow, we leave the mountains and head back to the beach and he won't be with us. I know that is going to feel very final. But time does heal and we will celebrate his life in our memories of him. Down the road, we will adopt another rescue, we are not ready yet but we will be. Hug them if you have them!

It will be hard at first, bit time does make things better. You'll always remember him, and that's what matters.

In most cases, the carriers don't truly own the towers. They lease them from other companies, which is why many it seems to show so few towers.

And they will stick arrays on anything tall, including church steeples, water towers, or anything elsetall enough to fill a gap in their coverage.

Yeah, I forgot about that part. T-Mobile actually just installed LTE arrays on top of a water tower of a town I frequently visit. I was quite pleased. :D

So I've used the chief's guide and gotten through all the steps with aokp 4.2.2, the 8/20 nightly.

I cannot get Titanium to "restore" all the stuff. I booted to the backup TIBU 6.1.0zip, but when I try to restore apps it tells me no backup yet for all the 100 line items.

I'm at the top of page 4 on the chief's guide at
accounts
call log
clocks
messages
AND NO OTHERS.

It flashes, reboots, but nothing repopulates. I can log into google play, and the phone works, but how do I get TIBU to restore all that stuff instead of hand loading it one by one.

Thank you!

The Developer Edition of the Moto X will have a black front and white back with silver accents and D.E. on the back. It will also come in 32gb and could possibly be available for more than just At&t soon. the 32gb that is.

Guys, I am running paranoid Android 3.97 and I keep losing data after a while. Is there an issue with android 4.3 and our phone? Anyone using a fairly stable 4.3 ROM?

That is bizarre. You DID back all apps + system data before the nandroid backups and ROMming, didn't you? You seem to have the only phone with issues after following my Guide...

I have used PA 4.3 ROMs for about 2 weeks now. On 3.99 now with the brandest, newest 8/23 Gapps. No data loss issues at all. I am prone to losing my live wallpaper from time to time, but I think that's an Android issue, not a ROM issue, as it also happened with Sourcery. I have no instability issues at all with Paranoid Android.

Well November is looking pretty good. New Eminem album on the 5th, Steeler game on the 10th, PS4 on the 15th...and Moto X at some point that month, unless I get the Developer Edition if they make it available for Verizon and 32gb.
