Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

My problem right now is I don't want to be stuck with the G2 for 2 years. I have high hopes for VoLTE. I'll have to pay for phone then if it everything I hope it is.

Oh lord. Just talked to another person from Verizon with another plea deal. She said she never heard about this but looked at our usage. Apparently, I wasn't reading the bills correctly, but looks like my wife is using 8-12Gb a month!
While I'm using 1-2Gb max. She talked about a "Max" plan that's only available to grandfathered folks, but can't be shared. Ugh.

Time to have a talk with Verizon and dump them

To me, you have to make too many sacrifices in order to remain a loyal Verizon customer. For example:

Yeah but my Darling Bride has a shot at a Nexus 7 (we'll use a different mailing address). Selling that would offset the cost of her Moto X. Maybe the NEXT one we open will be that one ;)

SO yeah, I suppose I'm quite done, go figure: I signed up and all that and then ONE code and I'm finished with it :p

I hate to ask dumb questions, but your wife does use WiFi when available, right? If that 12GB is coming from streaming movies or something while traveling or commuting, maybe they can be downloaded at home before leaving.

Yeah, she doesn't.
I said, "Honey, can you start using wifi at home, hmmmk?" :)

@bread: Sweet double post! :D

@Unforgiven or anyone else for that matter: Do you know which version of Tapatalk is supposed to be the one that is optimized for the phone and tablet? I ask because when Tapatalk HD came out, it was the tablet optimized one. I bought it...no biggie. Then there was an announcement that Tapatalk 4 was in beta and that eventually we would need just one Tapa client for both phone and tablet. However, in my Google Play app downloads I have two Tapa clients with basically the same name:

Community Reader by Tapatalk 4

Tapatalk 4 - Community Reader

Which one is the one for phones and tablets!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

It's driving me banana sandwich.

@GNWH: Miss y'all.

@bread: Sorry to hear about you losing out on the unlimited data thing. :(

Good morning all - finally back in NJ after being in Ocean City all weekend for the biggest VW event of the year. It's incredibly how many VWs, Audi's and other cars just fill the entire town of OCMD. So many loud exhausts all day long - it is the most wonderful weekend of the year.

Also, saw the Verizon "glitch" while I was down there and was able to order an LG G2 while I was down there during the weekend and keep my unlimited data. So my G2 will be here on Wednesday and I will have unlimited data for another 2 years. Reading a ton of reviews, root guides, etc about it and I am really stoked. It seems like AP wouldn't recommend it based on the buttons and software, but it seems the "Knock On" feature works really well for others and most bloat can be disabled.

Happy Tuesday!

Sorry Bread you got hosed on the deal.

The cruise days in OCMD are crazy. LOTS of cars.

But loud exhausts on a VW is like adding Volume+ to the GNex's. It helps a bit but what's the real point? :D Just kidding.

Enjoy the G2.

What kind of VWs?

And congrats on that cool deal :p

Maybe longer if then you go month to month. Who knows what they end up doing though.

Yeah, I am too. Would BB be any cheaper than going with Verizon? Can the VERIZON30 code be used in stores?
My impression was that to use BB, you had to be done with your contract. You couldn't upgrade a current Verizon contract. BB would process an early upgrade there, but the upgrade was still through Verizon, or some such nonsense.

Please someone correct me if wrong.
