Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I've been trying drain the battery. Now playing Toy Story off of youtube. I think I'll get 5hrs of screen time or round about.

It would be nice if the websites for furniture stores only showed you the products available to purchase in the store located in your city. I don't want to see the 5,000 couches you can order for me.

Which store?
When we ordered ours, had to be custom so it took a couple weeks. Only reason we went that route was we had a massive gift certificate we got as a wedding gift.

And as to this battery talk.... I'm still in the habit of charging my phone each morning before work for a couple hours, but with this G2 I probably only need to do it every OTHER day. :)
 
Dropped to 4-2 in fantasy football, unfortunate. I've been running the Titans defense out for a couple weeks, might be time for an upgrade though. Looks like the Ravens defense is on the wire for pickup - Halon, how do you think the Steelers will do against them this week?
 
I had no luck in other threads since I have Nexus phone, maybe someone can help me here. I lost Korean language support when I upgraded to 4.2.2 from 4.1.2 ( Exactly JB RC5 Toro to RC9 ). Can someone confirm that Android dropped support for Korean in 4.2.2? ( Does not display Korean ) And they did, would it ever be re-instated in 4.2.2 or any future releases?

The first four games of the year the Steelers obviously were just horrible. They started off the game with the Jets playing same way they did in the previous games. Then they seemed to figure out how to play together as the game went on.

As for Baltimore. They might have more wins but they aren't the same time from last year.

With that said, this is a rivalry game. These two go at each other like it is the Super Bowl.

I had to look this up...

Steelers lead the series 22–15
Steelers are 9–8 @ Baltimore
Steelers are 13–7 @ Pittsburgh
Most games the winning team is ahead by no more than 14 with only 3 games you would call a blow out.

I have to go with my Steelers.

As a side note...I have Ben as my back up and I have to use him this week. I'm thinking of dropping for Eli. My thinking is that Eli has to have a big game. They play Minnesota this week. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
 
Pretty exciting week for photogs. Sony rumored to unveil a compact mirrorless full-frame camera tomorrow and Fuji rumored to unveil their updated mirrorless bodies Friday. These product releases will determine what I do with our camera gear.
 
Hey everyone!

So my new Note 3 has a crooked home button (ah, the wonderful build quality of plastic phones)! And it’s loose. So I want to take it in to exchange.

However, I bought the G2 (at full retail), returned it a few days later, paid the $35 restocking fee, and went back to my iPhone 5 for a while until the Note 3 came out. Now I want to exchange this one, possibly for a white one (I hear those don’t have the button issue). Will they let me do it, or will they tell me I already returned once and I can’t do it anymore?

Also, I had this shipped to me via online ordering. Can I return to the corporate store?: Or will I have to mail it back?
 
Returned the note 3. Too big. Although it has a lot of features from CM, I find the lack of customizing too confining. Back to the gnex.

Steven, take another look at the G2. Yes it's bigger, but not a ton more than the Gnex due to such small amount of bezel.
My biggest issue is just the back plate is so slippery. Waiting for a slim TPU case to come in similar to what I have for my S3 to help out.

Quality can have a few different meanings. Material quality, design quality and build quality.

No doubt the Note 3 is a quality design.

Materials are very subjective, and I find nothing wrong with plastic if done right. The idea that metal is always better is old world thinking, nothing wrong with plastic. Use the right material for the application.

But build quality I've been very critical of. Too many instances where people are getting new phones with defects. I'd like to see manufacturers do better here. I know it can be hard when your slave Chinese labor camps are making 10 phones a second, but I'm sure they can do better.

@Chief: Unfortunately on my end the home button was very crooked. It would swing back and forth with my thumbnail. Terrible. Just got back from Verizon and exchanged it for a white one. Home button is perfect, and the white has an understated elegance about it. Very satisfied!

What happens to my VZW contract if I do nothing, sign nothing? It expires on Jan 2 2014 and of course I have the grandfathered unlimited. Does it get renewed month to month or do they just cut my service or renewed for two more years?

You'll see your bill change to say month-to-month. You'll have the unlimited still. Just happened to the contract on one of the phones in my plan.

Is there a down side to this? I want to get a new phone but i guess with the way verizion is going I don't want to get it from them and pay full price. I guess I would like the m2m cause if I decide to bail I won't have any skin in the game...

No downside. Keep the phone you have and just keep paying your monthly bill. All is good. But if you want to keep unlimited either full price all at once or use the Device Payment Plan option.
