welcome to the forums!!!!!

not exactly sure what you mean? what software are you talking about?

edit: i moved the thread to the note 2(unless your thinking about the first note) forum as those who have the phone can help you better.

I will be using it to fly a Quadcopter which involves downloading the relevant programs for the controller
Thank you

ok so let me understand what you are asking. you want to tether your phone to the pc so that you can connect the pc to the internet to download software. is this correct? the only free tethering app would be pda net from the play store. otherwise you can either pay for the plan or think about rooting your device.

hope that helps.

I have purchased the Note and was able to connect by WiFi to my modem and then download the software I needed is this unusual ?

no. using wifi is better then using 3g or 4g to download. it saves battery that way. so it was to the phone that you needed the software on? i'm still confused as to what you are or were trying to accomplish.

The system I will be using to fly my remote controlled Quadcopter ( Heli with four blades ) uses android to provide the system to both setup and fly though it still can be flown with a normal Remote Control Transmitter wonderful technology from the East it is even possible to stick the phone in your pocket and the Quad will just follow you about

So let me see if I got this right....
Basically you'll be using your Note 2 as a controller to fly your copter? And the copter app you were trying to figure out how to get it on your phone?

If I got that right then it's a miracle cause I haven't had my coffee yet.
