I'm not sure, have foced stoped and cleared catche? I would say clear data but on a few roms that actually uninstalls the app altogether (system or not). Man, I was pissed. LoL

So you always right before delete a file you change it's rights first?..I notice you change the security in the volume notification file to 3-1-0(that's how I count it for obvious reasons)..does it make any difference by doing that rather than not changing it's permissions??..my way is just deleting it..I've erased all the ringtones, notifications, pen sounds, system ui sounds, alarms and so on..then also the manifest where they live..so far no problem with them..I really really really hate those sounds the phone come with specially the f**** horizon s***(I put my own asterisks)..I could kill the guy who composed that piece of..you know the rest..I hate it!

I've tried that in the past before I started cloning my apps..but when I save the changes I made to the apps..they wouldn't work..I don't know what I was doing wrong..

I copy the file to external sd first then I just delete the app but leave the foulder the app was in (system app/priv-app). After I delete the app , then change the permissions of the folder (do not delete foulder).
I learned this when looking threw custom roms .zip that had knox and other system apps removed. I don't know why all the developers change permission snd leave the folder but all of them do it that way. I fighter, they know more about this than I do so I'll follow there patter of consistency.
I used to use an app to uninstall system apps but sometimes it caused issues. Later, I simply deleated the folder and app all together. Copy to externall sd, deleting the app and changing folder permission as the developers do works better than any other method I've tryed.

I discovered this by accident when snooping around custom roms .zips
and even on the roms I had installed were all do the same when debloater by the developer. Try searching the reason why and could never find an answer. I still don't know. All I know is it works better than any other way I've tried.

Somewhat, Its just kind of cool to look threw apps and make changes. A few years ago, I modified an app . I can't remember exactly what it was named but it was a Texas poker app with a cowboy traveling from town to town playing poker. Anyway, I changed the back ground music with AC/DC, Ozzy Ozborn, G&R...... in different parts of the app. I also change the replies of the poker players with famous movie quotes like Scarface "say hellow to my little friend" Terminator "I'll be back", Kindergarten Cop "Its not a tumor !", Donnie Brasco "forget about it" and .....

Anyway, Google PS decided that if ApkEditor wanted to remsin on the PS it would have to remove rebuild and install functions from the app. At some point Google PS made changes to its security policy that forced the developer to make the app less functional. Without the ability to rebuild,sign and install what good is it?
The best one is ApkToolX android app but its tricky to get it working properly. Root is required but it requires going into system framework app and importing it as framework and a few other system app to import and few other processes are involved. Its by far the best for reverse engineering an app (even systems apps).
As far as programming, I don't know java or simali. I can't even spell that good

Hey one of the ordeals I'm having now is my sd card drive is not been detected..in the phone it is..but like for example when you are in here in the forum..and you are replaying and then try to upload a file..and then it takes you to your internal or external..well, my external disappeared..I know it was by one of the system apps I deleted..I just don't know which one..Javi, help me figure out which app controls the external and internal to be viewed within the apps..

Kernel Aduitor app has many useful functions. adjustable thermal setting to keep the phone from overheating. Another to Stop MP-Decision and a plethora of other setting.
