Galaxy S24 Series

Oh shoot! I was ready to sell that to you as an NFT, too...

Actually, it'll be very valuable for designers to take a concept to an entirely new level and help generate interest with investors... I look forward to getting photos of local landmarks and seeing what artistic flair the phone can give them.
 
They are now saying that they don't know when we'll get Android 15, they say it's loaded down with Security Patches that we need.

I am generally opposed to a lot of AI - especially in writing and composition (which is my area of expertise). It's been my experience that AI-generated content is almost immediately recognizable as such: incorrect syntax and a general lack of "humanity" in the pieces are hallmarks of computer compositions. Some of the new Galaxy AI features, particularly in the Gallery and Sketch to Image, are kinda cool proofs of concept. I can draw something out and the phone will help give it a more realistic visual so I can more easily get my ideas across to others.

The good news is that the AI you DON'T want can be easily switched off in Settings - and the AI you DO want can be limited to on-device only and no assist from the big computer in the sky.
 
I know, that's the first thing I did when Verizon released the big update last month.
On a side note, I just got the notification that the next update is ready to install.

I'll do it later today after I pick up my granddaughter from school.
 
I spend a little time in the Samsung Members Community... and it's astonishing how many people are complaining that the One UI 7/Android 15 beta isn't out yet. Do they really think they're entitled to a TEST of an upgrade that won't be released until the S25 comes out? Yes, the beta was initially scheduled for the end of July... due to big problems with it, however, it was pulled immediately. Heck, even Google released the new Pixel phones with Android 14 and not the "latest and greatest"!

I keep a lookout for the beta test because I'm a cutting edge early adopter (it's the geek within)... but we can't get mad about an update that truly isn't ready to be used.

Much like Bitcoin, I don't understand it and honestly don't even want to try & learn about it.

And given the AI threads here on the dirty bird haven't been active since January, no one else here does either :goofydroid: But then again we only have like 10 active members :rolleyes: and most of us are old with one foot in the grave.

I have some crypto on a hardware wallet: certainly not enough to survive a zombie apocalypse but some. It's more than doubled in a year so I'm happy about that. Do I understand the blockchain thing? Not exactly... but I don't understand how Circle to Search works either. But it does and I use it.
