Did Samsung tell you this personally or do you work for them?

Of course it's the latest and greatest. That's just the fact of the matter. Jelly Bean update is out on the international version and could easily be rolled out on the U.S. versions, but instead they want to sell it with outdated software. The GSIII Mini even comes with Jelly Bean out of the box! Samsung and the U.S. carriers playing politics as usual. No wondering some people will never buy a Samsuck phone again. Oops... I mean Samsung.
What about for those coming from FroYo?!?

Sorry not meaning to attack you but lets not talk about this stuff anymore as it seems like we are attacking each other lets stay on topic so the mods will not have to become the bad guys. And lets hope for the best I hope JB will roll out soon afterward so all of us are satisfied but for me lol cant wait to get the phone so I can explorer the awesomeness.
@dulal18 Are you planning on getting the GSIII on launch day?
In simply stating that I'd they rush the update, it will be bug infested, and in turn will suck. Yes, jb is available to those of us who root our devices, and on the nexus devices of course. But when it comes to oem builds, the manufacturer is going to put their ui on it and that will take a little more time. If people want to run stock jb, then it's best to let Samsung smooth out any issues and make sure it runs. If you are impatient, and jb is really that important, then don't complain about it not having jb, just root itit
Agreed. What I would do is flash AOKP or CM10 and then when the JB images and files come out, flash them and make a backup so you will have a fully stock JB backup and then go back to AOKP or CM10. I'd choose AOKP because it is basically CM10 on steroids. So many more options than CM10. After finding AOKP for the Gnex, I wouldn't think of ever running a different ROM. Plus they have an app called the "kangerator" that has all the recent builds and info so you dont have to search around to find the latest build when it comes out. Very convenient. The people behind AOKP are way ahead of the folks behind CM IMO.
But thats what I would do. Flash AOKP or Cm10 and wait for the images and files to come out for JB and then revert back to those and then make a backup of stock JB so you'll have one on hand then go back to whatever ROM you choose to run.
Looks very good for next week guys due to some info coming from inside guys so let's see
looks like you'll get your beast on Wed then?
I've seen people mention AOKP before. I thought it was AOSP? Are the two the same, or different? Thanks.
So looks like I am correct let's just watch this Wednesday soon as I have the phone I will post a pic here and say goodbye to this thread finally.
Android Open Kang Project-AOKP
Andoid open Source Project-AOSP
AOKP is like CyanogenMod but better. Still based on stock builds and retains all stock features but has plenty on implementations. For example, since I put AOKP on my Nexus I can change the color of any of the Icons in the status bar. I have 3-4 different batteries to choose from. I can move the clock anywhere I want on the status bar, etc.... Shit like that is what AOKP enables you to do. it's amazing to say the least.
Just to give you an idea of how many more people use AOKP compared to CM10 for the Nexus is about 4 to 1. For every 4 users of AOKP there is 1 user of CM10.
Obviously cyanogenmod is well known and is still a very good ROM, Im not taking anything away from them. But AOKP does things that CM just doesn't do and adds a lot more features to the phone literally enabling you to do whatever you want. If it's available for the GS3, which it should be, I would def. look into it OVER Cm10. you wont be disappointed.
It started up about a year ago which is why it hasn't got the recognition that CM has gotten but it wont take long.

Thanks for that great explanation. I knew that AOSP was Android Open Source Project, but had never heard of Kang. That's good to know about, 'cause for the Optimus M, we had CM7 and some Froyo ROMs.
Haha i hear you
so its like that huh? once it hits u bounce never to be seen on here again? damnn
Hell yah, well first because I have to give my phone to my brother since his phone just broke plus I am going crazy to get this phone just as everyone else. What about you?
