Galaxy S3 Watering Hole

Oh sure it's not for everyone, but it would have it's uses, say sat in a beer garden in a pub, flip it over while your chilling out and top up etc.

Okay , now your speaking to my Alcoholic side and come to think of it i may beable to find some use out of it....... i like the way you think X :D

Aj, seriously, I'm not bashing ya dude, if tinkering is your thing, that's cool, but from what I've seen in the past, you just on occasion overcomplicate or over analyse things.

If it looks like a phone, walks like a phone, talks like a phone, it's not a phone, it's a transformer, probably a decepticon, watch out ;)

Where was I? Oh wishing I was at the pub, no wait, wrong voice, AJ! Yeah! Tinker dude, tinker, believe me, I've learned from your tinkering, and my S3 is still unrooted ;)

I have a link some place, for an extended battery case for the S3, get this, with SOLAR PANEL! oh yeah, more power, and free power! But, alas, you don't have an S3 no mo :( anyway, some weird company make it and sell it on Amazon. It's the future I tell ya, the future !

Funny to think that the note 2 has been the most problematic device to tinker with. Ever.

I finally got fed up and returned the thing to stock, though I am still rooted. I am not even sure that I will tinker with a new device.

i have modded a few note 2 and never really ran into any serious ... what was giving you problems?

Every little thing I did to it resulted in a brick. Root it? Brick. Flash a rom. Brick. Return to stock. Brick. A factory reset did fix things but was a hassle.

Sounds like you may have missed some steps somewhere. Wiping most likely

Also, are you talking just a boot loop? Because it doesn't sound like that was an actual brick

Yeah, bootloop. Not sure what my issues where but now I am back to stock on the thing and don't intend to do custom roms on it any more. If I want stock android, I know where to look :)

Just curious AJ but after flashing, we're you clearing Delving cache then rebooting, then factory resetting?

Pam's rocking her White S3. My device list just got two longer.

Lifeproof it. Super thin case that's waterproof (2m), drop proof (2m), dust proof, and everything else. I like the one with the screen protector. I think it's the Fre. But in the two weeks I've used the case it's been swimming in oil, paddle boarding, scuba diving, horseback riding, and I'm taking it to Woodford Reserve distillery to see what I can drop it into this morning.

It came with an iSipio (sp) case that offers pretty good protection. The VZW rep pissed me off, so I ordered screen protectors and a new car charger online as I wasn't giving him any more money than was necessary to get it activated.

This is why I buy used phones.
