Galaxy S3 Watering Hole

And the Sony Z1 (Honami). :)

My real reason for stopping by, other than to say "hi!". :D

Freshly-brewed espresso is my vice. I keep my dark-roasted beans (4 on a strength scale of 1-5) in an airtight container in the fridge, and our soft Scottish water is perfect for that rich golden crema on top. No day has properly started until the first "doppio" has been enjoyed. ;)

p.s. I take a Moka with me when I'm backpacking. Yup, I'm hardcore!
The softer the water, the better the espresso/coffee!

I may or may not have been a coffee expert in a very recent past career...:D

Went to see The Conjuring at the local multiplex tonight. Pretty creepy. Supposedly a true story. Let's just say I have my doubts about that.

That new Sony Xperia Z1 looks pretty good. I suspect we will not see it in the US until its outdated then still be charged a premium price for it on an like t-mo or something.

I think I would opt for the Sony over the Samsung stuff.

Depending on frequency compatibility, why not import a factory unlocked version it since you're on AT&T?

Does anyone know how development is for Sony devices?
Not they'll ever come to Verizon (okay, the beautiful Xperia Play :p), but just curious.
Their devices are really nice looking, just not a fan of the skin.

Sony has a pretty good rep with teams like cyanogen. I've heard of them donating devices in the past. As well as trying to get devices into AOSP.

How much of that has converted into developer support though..? Not too sure

Thing is, when is Sony going to pull a "Samsung" and release their flagship on all domestic carriers..... and not 6 months after it's announced?
Would love to see another manufacturer in the game. :)

Most internationals that support 4g in the states are using bands that t-mo uses. Sony would be smart to include the other bands...

If this thing supports AT&T bands, then I may go for it, if I can find a legit importer. :)

Amazon usually gives you the ability to buy them through secondary vendors. But I'm pretty sure it comes with standard Amazon protections in case product isn't as advertised.

Morning all. Mmmm.... coffee :)

Quickie news rollup:

Microsoft buys Nokia.

The 8gig nexus 4 is sold out.

The note 3 is due to be announced tomorrow (suspectedly) along with a watch.

I think a new sony device will be announced tomorrow as well, the Z1 or something, we probably will not see in the states

I'm still on 4.1.2, i got a software update from AT&T and got a cool Multi-window thing i had it for a couple of days and then for some reason it dissapeared and now i can't find how to get it back

Press and hold back for a couple seconds and that should bring up the sidebar for it. But make sure multiwindow is selected in the settings menu. You should be able to pull down your notification to see your qwick toggles to check.
