Galaxy S3 Watering Hole

We have all the interstate traffic running through here and our rivers arent supposed to crest until tomorrow. Its been one big headache.
 
Stopped in at best buy today and asked if they had a lot of iPhone 5c pre-orders. I was told no one was biting :p

They still want like 700 bucks for the 16gig iPhone 5 model. :rolleyes:
 
Looking like the household has gotten enough out of the S3s (possibly samsung in general?)

My sis is looking at the new iPhone 5s when her contract is up. Which is okay, I really don't think android is for her (its not for everyone). I think there is just too much for her in android land.

My mom is having issues with her S3 as well, it is rooted with a custom rom on it and is just pretty much fed up with the whole thing. She has taken a liking to my Nexus 4 which, honestly, has been sitting collecting dust. I can't seem to get the cards swapped out and would rather just add the device to the family plan, or use it for the duration of the contract on one of the devices, I was thinking my sister would take it, but she don't want it and my mom digs it, so.. I think before I give it to my mom, I am going to re lock the bootloader to wipe the device, then unlock it so it erases everything. Not sure about root, she don't need it, but I will talk to her about it - after the handful of updates the thing needs.

I may not even unlock the bootloader on the thing, but there are a couple things she needs to know before I hand the device over.

As far as my note II? I am still thinking on that. I hope for a LG G2 "google edition" or Nexus comes out soon.

I have honestly gotten over Samsung. More of a personal taste I guess, but I am not really interested anymore in what they are offering :)

Hope I am still welcome in the watering hole :o
 
Im in love with Samsung personally... I love the hardware they produce... Screw touchwiz and everything else... If the nexus had a SD slot I'd go with it but that's not the case... I'm a huge data whore... 16gb gs3 with 32gb sdcard and both are filled with important data

I am personally getting kind of getting burned out from samsung. Seems if they are trying to shove themselves down everyone throats. Like they are trying too hard, kind of like Apple. I mean Apple is full of themselves too but samsung seems a bit worse, I donno :o :smokingsomb:

I see what you're saying, but I used Touchwiz for about 5min max and then immediately flashed a AOSP ROM.
Only thing that concerns me are the certain features that are baked in with TW, especially their camera. It was pretty disconcerting seeing the photo samples side by side of the S4 and GPS4.
 
Ironically, I was up a Barr Lake yesterday (where first photo was taken) and the lake was bone dry... I mean a few ponds in the lake but I mean it was nearly empty. :eek:
