Galaxy S3 Watering Hole

"Unfortunately google.com.gapps or something has stopped." Totally out of the blue my S3 started to be unresponsive or at best very slow.
"Google play store has stopped"
What's going on?

Edit: did a factory reset. All seems okay again.

Apple did it. They are having an iPhone event right now... :p

Have you rebooted your phone or cleared the cache? Sometimes that helps.

Tried clearing cache first. Then rebooted (3 times actually). Factory reset did the trick. Dunno what was going on.
Hubby's S3 had the same hick ups lsst month.

Anything catch your eye AJ ?

The camera looked okay. The finger scanner for unlock could be useful for some (I could see use actually) But everything is still the same, at one point I thought to myself that Apple is full of its self and the iDevices are made to look better then they really are.

Still, I do wonder what the actual experience is, with iOS7, with an iPhone. The experience with the iPad mini... sucks. It IS laggy has touch screen response issues and so on. It IS old hardware. But I never had an iPhone experience.

I had my sister watch the keynote and she did like the 5C and liked the 5S better. And I could see this for her, actually.

Her S3 gets no attention really, (could be because I modified it ) she texts and calls on it, that is about it. Of course her trying to change keyboards after a reboot, it default back to samsungs "offering" and she don't know how to change it. Or even notices it!

So, with an upgrade on tap after the first of the year, I think there will be one less android device in the house. And that is fine.

If she does get one, it will allow me a chance to actually look at one up close.

If Apple actually made a 4.5" device and opened up the keyboard API (and I can see why they don't do this - because a 3rd party keyboard could collect key presses...) It would make it a bit harder for me to NOT get an iPhone.

Still, I do wonder what the iPhone experience would be. :o

Easy way to get the iPhone experience: buy a three year old Android.

Lol, they aren't that bad. Sure the user experience is stale, but they do have some of the best developers on their side for apps. The app store is strong, just horribly designed, and stale.

I can't wait for Alabama vs. Texas A&M this weekend. Should be a good one :thumb:

My College team is Thee Ohio State Buckeyes , they killed our local College team SDSU Aztecs this past weekend ........ I'm with you on Bama , they alway seem to be a hard team to play against . I think i actually like college football better than the NFL :D

Can't say I have a college football team to root for. I cheer for UNC basketball, but their football team..... UMD is the local favorite for football, we'll see how they do this year. ;):)
