Galaxy S3 Watering Hole

Yeah, just being sarcastic :D

Lol, not cool to say your dumb. I always used to get nothing better than a C in high school and my elementary school and middle school always thought I had a learning disability. So they always treated me like the oher kids that actually had learning disabilities which made me literally think I was dumb. They expected it, so I never learned to overcome it.

Then I met Vishera. I love her so much. She changed my life. Shes next to her brother, Richard.

You got 4.3 then?

Android rule for most devices - whenever getting a major upgrade, backup your stuff, do a factory data reset and then restore the backup.

Helium Backup is good if you don't have a backup.

Things get tangled under the hood. They could fix most of it with about 4 additional command lines in the OTA installer without losing your data. I've complained to the makers about this and have been ignored.

Rooters know to clear cache and Dalvik whenever installing a rom.

If you're not rooted, and it's OK for your device (and it's OK for the SGS3) then the option becomes the reset.

can you walk me through this

Did you download this on your phone yet?

Do you have an SD card installed to backup your files? If not, get one because the factory reset will wipe internal storage.

Let me know if you need anymore help here: Helium Thread

I've created that thread so we can show others this process.

Haha I hate ice. Its so easy to fall off my bike when I'm on or even near ice. It already happened once. Ouch

Yes, bike+ ice=bad times. I forgot you were planning to ride your bike through the Chicago winter. You are a braver man than I. :p Guess I should stop whining and be thankful that I have a car at least. Be careful out there!

Ya thanks. I was going to look for some like special tires to put on my bike. You know of any that could be better to use in snow?

A friend's dad of mine growing up took a spare set of tires and put tiny nails through them. Forgot what he did to ensure they didn't poke back through and puncture the tubes though.

Also, yeah I hear you about the ice. One year when I lived in Kansas it got really bad. So many of the sidewalks were covered with ice and no one salted them (it was a college town so I think most of the folks were students). Fell quite a few times but thankfully wasn't one of the many people who ended up in the ER.

They actually do make studded bike tires. Did a quick Google for "bicycle snow tires" and found a bunch. This article shows you how to make your own:

Eight Solutions for Riding a Bike in the Snow - BikeHacks

This page has a ton of info about store bought studded tires, but they are a bit expensive. Amazon also carries some. (of course, what don't they sell lol?)

Yeah, Carhartt stuff is awesome. I have one of their coats I've had for probably 15 years and its still the warmest coat I have.

I used to "borrow" my ex boyfriend's jacket all the time. I eventually gave it back - it was the warmest coat I've ever worn. I wore a pair of their coveralls once - it was toasty. And I don't have a pic. :-)
