The large, user changeable battery
The large screen
The unique software suit
The expandable storage
4G LTE
Getting my page buddy back (software suit)

There seems to be nothing else out there for me that comes close to the note 2.

Conclusion? I am likely keeping the thing. Basically, I just need to leave it be in terms of hacking.

:)

There must be a fairy lurking around.

Can I get a bit o dust ? lol

No idea lol! I use the forum app so had no idea i was premium until these guys pointed it out.. didnt even know what it meant :)

Ah, to be blessed without knowing the true meaning breaks rule # 8766.0
Which clearly states
"Premium members must absolutely understand the value of the money hard earned in order to exploit a fantasy that may very well never amount to anything ."

P.s.
I resemble that remark

Its just cause you're awesome.

Why do you evan need to change stock? Doesn't it do it's job well enough?

Usually rooting leads to other tinkering. Sometimes I just have a hard time leaving well enough alone. Hence why tinkering overrides leaving things be :)

Tossing a rom allows for a custom kernel which allows me to run apps like setCPU (or some roms have this built in, but I prefer setCPU). No point of the CPU running full blast while it is sleeping, though I have no hard evidence it does or my battery drains slower.

Some custom roms allow me to rid the phone of junk I don't need etc.

But the basic reason is, because I can :)

Fair enough dude.

In your position, I'd just be happy to root, set profiles with setcpu, get rid of the bloatware.

I'm not seeing ROMs that offer specifically huge benefits, but to be fair, on the note 2 that big old screen has to be the biggest battery drain (im guessing) so I'd just stick with a black wallpaper and low brightness (depending on tasker profiles)

Of course, thats just me, once I'm set up I'm happy, and I just enjoy my phone after that.

Of course it's always good to know what else is available, whether these things are worth messing with or not is down to the individual.

Good luck either way :thumb:

Yeah, after all these headaches I have been having, I think I will just lay low on the rom installs :)

When Scott updates cleanrom I am not sure what I want to do. Or when android 5 comes out.

root rom cpyawn!

just seeing whats up...
:)
I should be talking to the people I'm out with ...but I'm competitive ...to a fault and I'm bored .

Uh, I dunno, who's got the dust?

Please inform me of the possessor ,I think I'm due lol
