I need a favor, but not a big deal.

Got a bud in the SGS4 forum saying his US SGS3 won't play 1080p without stuttering, and blaming the processor for that.

I usually stop at 720p on my LTEvo (same processor) because it's a 720p phone, ok, but that doesn't sound right to me.

Anyone here have experience on 1080p playback?

I did a quick test with this (may not be suitable for small children) using the mov format, had zero issues -

It played all right for me streaming. I'm downloading it now, and will see how it plays like that.

Edit: Just watched it at 1080p on download, and it played fine for me as well.
And why do I keep thinking John Goodman when I see him.

Appreciate the tone check! An SGS3 not playing 1080p just made no sense to me.
