Good lord! The wife is tryin to root her Galaxy Ace :(
I want her to read up and do it herself but shes reading stuff here there n everywhere, downloadin files n askin me wot to do with them when i havnt even read where she got them from lol!

Good luck! I made sure with both phones I rooted that someone was available through Google Talk or through here in case I oopsied .....good thing with the Nexus too, had two people giving me step by step after I borked it

Soup cans and a string!? :p

Not sure yet. A couple things I am looking into:
Windows phone, but not with how much I hate windows itself.
Blackberry? Really not my type.
iPhone? I have SERIOUSLY thought about it....
Nexus 4? Possible.
HTC one? Possible.

I think the biggest issue is, I like to tinker and most devices are not up to that task.
 
IPhone is a beautiful piece of machinery, that's for sure. I'm itching to get a nexus too, but maybe after a few years once my note 2 wears down

She did it! Was a simple .zip file installed in recovery but she did it in a long way downloading to laptop then moving it to sd but she did it :)
She only really wanted to free up the internal memory, it really is dire, but being a sim-free phone there isnt all that much to remove tbh

Lol i started a huge thread on android central and i tried hard to get a landmark post on it but got beaten every time :( i think people were cheating somehow. Remember that Wyndslash lol? x
