Ok. Our d-day is may fourth (remembering war victims) and may five is Freedom Day (celebrating our freedom).

Thats us home and Clair is away to the pub. Family time was great but my mum drove us home and i had to tell her the worst that could happen at my trial next week. i had been kind of sheltering her from the worst-case scenario until now
Her lasagne was perfect as always (although i like to spice it up with some cayenne)

D-Day was the day that the Allies stormed the Normandy beaches and began to take back (liberate) the french from the Germans. This I think was operation overlord, obviously, largely successful but not without mistakes and losses. Iirc the biggest invasion force put together in history.
