Hey. Anyone know how to tell if an iphone 3g is carrier-unlocked? (Other than the obvious trying another sim lol)
someone gave the wife an iphone and her Giffgaff sim works in it but the 3 sim she got today doesnt. The dude who gave her it said its unlocked. Tryin to work out if its a bad sim or the phones locked.
i cant test it with my sim because the ip3g takes the old mini-sims.
Cheers peeps (i dont wana go trawling iOs sites lol)

Thanks buddy. Ive told her to have a look. I told her from the start i want to either jailbreak the thing and play with it a bit or have nothing to do with it, i decided on the latter lol. I dont know if maybe im just too much of an android snob but it feels like using an old "feature" phone. It is smooth and polished but feels clostrophobic

Not sure what to think about this one. Sure it'll have some hilarious moments, just not clear if it's "see it in the theater" quality. :)
(BTW, the Red Band trailer is hilarious but most definitely NSFW ;))

Yeah, I honestly don't know, but visit the sister site for iphones like RX said. :)

Thanks mate. Whats the site called? Tbh shes a total nightmare.. she wants quick instant fixes to things, doesnt even wana take the time to register with a forum site :banghead: if i met her online, id hate her :)

Evening all!! Anyone got any experience with Netflix? Thinking about dropping all my movie channels and picking up Netflix.

We dropped cable a few years ago. Have an antenna for OTA channels (sadly, not a ton with all the buildings nearby). We have a Roku and Netflix account for streaming. If we can't find it there, Amazon picks up the slack.
Also, if you're a fan of Arrested Development, Netflix is the only way to go. :)

Not looking to drop cable all together.. just trim the fat. Too much sports that I like that I can't get on OTA.

Understandable. We're not sports fans, so it's no problem. I basically just rely on OTA for the local news. Everything else I watch, I can find on Hulu and am content on watching it on my laptop.
In terms of Netflix streaming, is there a way you can demo it for some time? Perhaps just peruse what is available before committing to paying?

Welcome to AF, sonasam300. :ciao:

If you need any help feel free to shoot me a PM. :)

What? I dint get to pm you? Lol....

I hear it's great.... we dropped our movie channels a few months back and I don't even miss them! I watch ID and A&E most of the time... try it, you can always add them back if you wanted to! :D

My girlfriend and I are going to try to find a night to go see this - her hubby doesn't want to so we figure we will have a girls night.
