So wtf - how did I get hboot 6.17.0001 and Mar 8, 2011, 17:02:15? What RUU can I use to get it back to stock to fix the power button and once it is back to stock can I root again with these parameters?

Can I use the RUU below to bring it back to stock and after the repair get s-off again?RUU_SuperSonic_GB_Sprint_WWE_4.53.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.0808_NV_2.15_release_209995_signed

my power button is broken and I am trying to use this method to unroot. I am on step 7. I am trying to run the second command

I am trying to used Adb to slow boot my phone and then update the AmonRA-3.08 recovery. My power button is broken and when I do a battery pull, my phone only fastboots even tho fast boot is not checked. I was hoping to find a way to flash this recovery because it uses the capacitive key so I could then unroot to return my phone under warranty for the broken power button. My ROM is Mikg2.57.

I opened adb and it recognizes my phone, so I have the drivers and a connection.
I downloaded PC36IMG-AmonRA-3.08-gnm.zip and put it on my sd card root (renamed to PC36IMG.zip)
I type in the next two commands thinking they will hard boot, then force the update.
After I type
Adb shell "echo 'boot-recovery' > /cache/recovery/command" nothing happens, no error, nothing, so I continue and type
Adb shell "echo '--update_package=SDCARDC36IMG.zip' >> and I get an error "unexpected end of file"
I am not sure how to proceed or if I am even approaching this the right way.

Unfortunately what you are trying to do needs to be done through the bootloader. Let me look to see how the recovery.img can be pushed through adb instead of flashed.

What is your hboot?

6.16 but my power button came back to life this morning so I switched recovery to amonRa 3.08 where I can use rhetoric capacitive buttons if it breaks again. So no need to go to any trouble on my account. I'm OK now. Thx for replying.
