Well Monday is when my LTE EVO is scheduled to be here. I hadn't really planned on getting another phone until next april however it so happend to work out where I could get one now and still be eligible for an upgrade in April :D My OG EVO is being passed to my wife and her phone is going to our youngest daughter who is the new account we are setting up. I'll still be around I just will be even more scarce here than I am already. For those of you coming in Good luck to you and know that this is one of the best forums ever. For those of you joining me then you know its dark waters out there so be a life preserver cause we all need our ass saved at times.

Man it's nuts how many users in this forum are going to the ltevo.

yeah I was real close to the gnex but the beast that my EVO has been really swung me that and the fact that it had an SDCARD. I like the old SDCARDS and since I've put a little money into having one for the EVO. The wife has her own card *L* I mean they are a lot alike the two but in the end I went with the LTE. I'll have it Monday

It came down to those 2 for me as well and it was a tough decision

We don't have source so there's some issues with aosp and no custom kernels yet, but I wanted the choice to use sense if I chose to.

Well, I guess we all knew that this was coming right? Eventually, we'd begin departing towards our next ventures... I'm just glad that there seems to be a device that we are going to. Imagine if everyone was scattering to different carriers!

Me, I'm not sold yet. I can upgrade whenever, I'm thinking between the gnex, g3, and lte evo.... so many choices. I mean, gnex is pure google, g3 - super specs, lte evo - sense, and you know it'll have a killer dev community.

I've got some real soul searching to do ;)

Well its monday. going to be a busy day for me as I prepare to pass down the king of phones to the queen of the house. What a wonderful group of people that have come and gone from here. Some guys and gals that really just wanted to be helpful and friendly. The open arms I received when I first came left a lasting impression on me.

I have been in the other forum and while I recognize a lot of the names and have even befriended a few its still not quite the same as it was when I first arrived. Don't get me wrong still that welcoming atmosphere but participation seems to have dropped over the last few months.

I've gone from being a junior member to senior member to Guide and back to senior member. I would love to say that I'll still be hanging around in here from time to time as the wife will have the OG however she just wants something that works and doesn't care about the KERNELS and ROMS and THEMES that have been such an awesome part of this community. I do hope that I maintain and come in here now and again if nothing else just to crawl around and chase flies :D

In all sincerity it has been a honor and a privileged to serve with you guys and gals (no not as in military service just leadership service :) ) I have learned much (Were talking more than phones here) and hope that I was able to give back enough to help others. Your an inspiration for all to see. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of one of the Greatest Things on Earth. This Forum.

Special Thanks Goes to all those who have been through the trenches with me. You know who you are. We made it on to the other side and now must prepare yet again to go through the trenches. A few of you have started plowing the way already. Thanks.

So this is not a goodbye it is a So Long. I do hope to continue to see most of you in the very near future and please let us all take what we got here to make the other forums just as kickass as this forum is.

God Bless

I'll miss you. You guys have all inspired me to root and "get my flash on". It has been so much fun. Watching the team split up, one by one, makes me sad.
I'm lurking in the EVO LTE forum, really leaning toward that phone because it's great hardware and a new team gathers there. But what's your take on the multitasking issue? It's giving me pause because I use Beyond Pod and Google Maps together often and I heard when you run both one or the other gets bumped and that the fix may sacrifice battery life.

Software issues can always be fixed. And this appears to be a software related issue.

Once source drops or we get an ora it will disappear.

Personally, I'm not constantly switching between apps so I haven't noticed the issue.

I have to admit, with the majority of the users headed to the LTEvo, and the ridiculous hardware present, I'm sort of wavering from my commitment to the GNex when I upgrade next month. Still holding strong!

BTW Arg, you're not a guide anymore? I guess I'm probably next. I have been pretty busy with work lately and generally just a lot more active in the evenings and stuff during the summer, so my time around here has been really limited.

You wanna be with us, you know you do... :D
Ugh, I know. But in all honesty, I think I would probably run AOSP 80% of the time like I do now on the OG. Having the choice is nice, but so is not having to worry about when/if HTC will release kernel/driver source for future software updates. By the time I get the Gnex, it will probably already be loaded with Jellybean. Pretty appealing.

^ I agree, JB is looking quite slick. I'm on the fence, when the evo came out, the only phone that came close to it was the Epic. And no one liked that ;) So there was very little choice.

Now we've got three awesome devices to choose from ...

No I gave it up I saw that I was to involved in other task/projects. I didn't feel right keeping the job when I was not fulfilling the duties.
