Enjoy dude. Wouldn't trade my incredible for an iPhone. Period.

Can't understand why people will go get an iPhone over an update being slow.

It's really between the Incredible HD and Iphone 5. But this fragmentation is killing me. Will they come up with a solution?? My frustration not only comes with the 3 weeks I've been waiting since the OTA release. Random reboots, poor battery life (even with an extended battery), buttons broken (my upvolume button doesn't work and I am very careful with my phone), general bugginess. I know Iphones will have their share of problems too. But I don't root and I know a lot of you on here do, so mainly it's the basic customizability that draws me to android phones. I may still stay with my android, which was my first smart phone and a very good one, but there is definitely some upside to the Iphone too.

After hounding the VZW Support twitter ID for a few days they finally replied with:
If this is in reference to the 2.3 rollout, I can say that it has not been halted. It continues.

based on this response, I have to assume that it has been halted.
I like your reasoning :)

I had some weird issues with 3G this morning. I kept needing to go in and disable and re-enable data, then it would work again. Ran the RUU again, wiped everything, and it's been fine since. (Had to manually wipe, all my apps were still on there again)

Awesome! No GPS nag?

Awesome! No GPS nag?

It's odd.. but I never had the gps nag after updating. I used the official ota that was pulled out of a phone cache prior to updating.

My chief received the ota on the up and up through Verizon and he doesn't have the nag either, although the build.prop states our phones have 4.3 inch screens.

It's appears that the update got pulled. What I think everything is missing is the obvious reason.

I present to you the Jackalope. Known for mischief, the Jackalope has been cited by numerous sources as the reason for the Titanic sinking, the Hindenburg, as well as Gingerbread stealing.

I haven't checked my phone yet this morning, but my guess would be no update yet. Two weeks out now, this is getting just silly...

Yep, nothing here and really getting ridiculous.

My brother-in-law got his GB two weeks ago.

And after checking my phone, surprise surprise, I was right. No update in sight. I recall someone posting that "updates will take 7 to 14 days" to get sent. Well, it's now 14 days.

I'm going with Verizon silently pulled it to fix their embarrassing screwup - I'd bet they'd be more concerned with fixing it so the phone doesn't think it's a Sprint phone... nevermind those silly other bugs.. bluetooth dropping when receiving a text message? Nah... low priority...

Absolutely! It is all about the all mighty dollar!

I tweeted to @VZWSupport asking them why I haven't gotten my update and what the rollout schedule is. I doubt they will respond.

I tweeted them 3-4 days in a row (including 2 PM's) before they replied to my question about them halting the update rollout. They assured me that it hasn't been halted.

HAs not been "officially" halted. You can gauran-dam-tee they are embarrassed and working on it!

It's *possible* the update is ongoing, but they have either paused it, or slowed it way down, to update other phones. Either way, I'm rooted/romed so I don't really care.

If they did pull it specifically for the market issue, they are idiots. All it'd take to fix that is a page and a half script to change 3 entries in a single text file. They could teach a community center intro to computers class how to fix that "problem". (NOTE: I personally think the market issue in and of itself is evidence enough that Verizon's crack programming team are idiots).

Just added my tweet too. Not holding my breath though.

If you did you would most certainly break the record for longest breath ever held!

Well, VZW are idiots aren't they??? They let something so simple to validate through their "rigorous" testing! LOL!

Interestingly, while I blame the developing team for making this mistake I don't really blame the QA people for not catching it. It's a very minor issue, that would only effect the market and only cause a problem if you are trying to install a Verizon app. It's not hard to imagine that even a very rigorous testing regime would miss that. About the only test for that problem would only be useful for check the build.prop file, and if it didn't occur to the developers to change the build.prop, they wouldn't have told the testers to test it.
