Gingerbread lock screen now black

I received the Gingerbread OTA a few days ago and now my lock screen is simply black. In other words, my wallpaper is now not being displayed on the lock screen. Any suggestions why?

Is your wallpaper dark too? Try a bright one, then you can just barely see it.

GB added a dark "filter" over your stock lock screen. it is there, but like the other guy said, if you use a dark wallpaper, it may be hard to see it.

my wallpaper isn't dark so that can't be it, unless it REALLY darkens the wallpaper! I got the wallpaper off these forums I think. See attached

That grass wallpaper is too dark to show up on the lockscreen. Gingerbread fades the lockscreen background down to black at the bottom, so the grass won't show up. That wallpaper's also really dark up top, which is why that part doesn't show up, either.

looks dark enough to show up as black to me...GB darkens the wallpaper quite a bit...
