Root Gingerbread TV on/off animations?

Any way to add the Gingerbread TV Tube off animation to a rom for us like Apex?

I read that, it especially sucks because the iPhone has it, but we don't.

Before anybody points out the lock screen app on the market: that app only allows you to put a screen-off shortcut on your homescreen. It won't affect anything that happens when you press the power button.
